Enjoy an oceanfront retreat in the relaxed Sea Ranch community. Above the Cove offers a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom vacation home perfect for a family or friend gathering. The home can accommodate up to 6 guests! Above the Cove features gorgeous Pacific Ocean views, a private hot tub, and all amenities one needs to thoroughly enjoy a vacation at the Sea Ranch.

The common living space showcases an open floor concept connecting the living room, kitchen, and dining area. The living room’s rooms expansive windows expose a breathtaking view of the blue ocean. Comfortable seating is arranged around a fireplace and flat-screen tv. WIFI is also provided for your convenience.

A fully equipped kitchen is available to aid any chef in preparing delicious home-cooked meals. A BBQ is tucked away in the garage if anyone is in the mood for grilling. The dining room table has seating for 4 or can extend to seat 8. Alternatively, take your meals outside to dine alfresco in the coastal breeze. The deck holds a bar table set and plenty of seating. Dine or sip on a glass of your favorite vino while watching the sunset over the blue water. While outside be sure to take a dip in the private hot tub. A washer and dryer are assembled back inside handy for wet swimsuits.

There are 3 bedrooms throughout the home to ensure everyone a good night’s rest. The downstairs master bedroom has a King bed, TV, an ocean view, and an attached bathroom. The second bedroom, also downstairs, similarly has a King bed and TV; the bathroom is located across the hall. The third bedroom, located upstairs, holds a Queen Murphy bed, TV, and an attached bathroom.

The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch Lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, 18-hole golf course (open to the public), and three recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use.

RV's are strictly not allowed.

Can't beat the view!
What an amazing spot.. I couldn't believe that we could access such an incredible trail within footsteps of the house. Waterfalls, bluffs, magical bridges... Our kids were in love. More than enough space for all 4 of us, and a perfect sunset watching deck. Some of the amenities were lacking; specifically in the kitchen. No cooking oil, sugar, or pepper so be sure to come with some of your own staples if you plan to cook. Thank you!!!

Not Happy!
I had requested a home with no stairs as I am older and use a cane! When we arrived much to my surprise, the house had stairs! It was too late to find another home also was not happy with the cleanliness of the house! Will never go through Grand Welcome again!

VOMIT house with ant infestation
DO NOT BOOK!!! I booked this property because of the 2 king bedrooms and ocean view. We found wet rotting human vomit (from a previous renter?) on the FLOOR AND BED of one bedroom leaving that bedroom unusable and foul smelling. Management sent someone to clean the carpet the day after we reported but the room smelled heavily of vomit and was unusable the entire trip. Management offered to refund the cleaning fee but refused to compensate for the unusable room. We had the following additional issues: 1. VOMIT on bedroom carpet and bed skirt with heavy foul odor 2. Kitchen INFESTED by Ants— kitchen was disorganized and filthy with ants everywhere 3. Stained carpet throughout 4. Moldy windows 5. Unit Smells heavily perfumed on arrival, like carpet powder to cover what became obviously a smell of rancid old wet vomit 6. No smoke alarm on first floor 7. Receive automated texts from management company at 4AM asking for feedback in checkin process 8. Cheap polyester sheets 9. Leaking windows with a dirty towel left across windowsill as solution to block drips 10. Tree blocking view of ocean from balcony 11. Very Dirty windows obstructing view of ocean 12. Delayed response for management after alerting them to state of unit I’ve had poor experiences with Grand Welcome in the past but this was by far the worst. Absolutely repulsive. Such a shame for what could be a nice property. I will never rent a property managed by Grand Welcome again.

Our shower did not work and we believe you were aware of it and have not fixed it...we were there for five nigths and had to buy dish soap and dishwashing soap no extra garbage bags.Last two nigths we had mice infestation.The location is wonderful but can't recommend it.If we rent from you again maybe some kind of discount?

Great Place, Frustrating Communication with Property Manager.
I have two separate streams of feedback. 1) The house itself was really beautiful and the weekend was restful and enjoyed by all! Thank you! 2) The communication and price incongruity prior to the trip was whole unnecessary and frustrating. The property manager wasn’t listening and felt like they were just sending scripted responses without actually hearing the inquiry. There was a HUGE pricing issue that VRBO ultimately rectified—though it took far too much time and energy! It’s a shame too! It didn’t need to escalate to that, and we aren’t the kind to invite drama. Customer service was really lacking and thankfully the house being so great saved the trip.

Gorgeous location
We had a short visit but the property is well located in Sea Ranch with an incredible view of the ocean. We watched seals playing in the cove and wild flowers were everywhere. Great house , just as described, we would stay again.

Nice getaway
If you enjoy hiking/exploring shorelines, this is definitely a nice stay. The kitchen is well stocked, they provide many board games/playing cards, have fast WIFI, TVs in multiple rooms, and the Hot Tub is great. Recommended!

Beautiful community, comfortable home
House was comfortable and close to the ocean. Had all of the necessary amenities such as towels, shampoo., kitchen things. The house was a bit dated and could use a fresh paint job, it was semi clean- beds/baths were okay but kitchen and living room floors were not as clean.. a few appliances didn't work well, but there were two or three of everything, so it wasn't a big deal.

Very nice property in an excellent setting
This is a very nice property in an excellent setting. Great view of the ocean. Lots of wildlife about. Immediate access to the bluff trail. Very nice kitchen with lots of cooking utensils. The house is effectively on three levels with stair access. Not too significant for many but if you have mobility issues then recognize that you will need to climb stairs to get to the kitchen, deck and living room.

Peace and solitude…with a couple of little glitches
Nice property, could use new carpet and furniture upgrade in the not so distant future. Comfortable and clean. Miles of paths to walk right out the door. We had a few ants too, but moving donuts and fruit to the dining table solved the issue for us. Only complaint is the host company. The kitchen sink clogged and we were unable to get ahold of anyone to fix. Of course this happened on Friday at 4. However, Grand Welcome, the host company has their call center in the Philippines and communication and response times are less than ideal as it appears they have two people answering phones there.. It took an hour to finally get a hold of someone local. So, Grand Welcome appears to be that in name only, and a bit less than grand in customer service. Overall, enjoyed it, and would book the property again despite the issue with the kitchen sink.

85 birthday celebration
We rented this place for a celebration of my mother 85 birthday. We all had our own rooms and it was a great place to hang with the family and our pets. We had few ants and the water was dripping in the kitchen. But nothing we couldn't handle. We had a wonderful time.

House needs ant control
We really enjoyed our stay but the morning after we arrived we had trails of ants going to every single place we had food. They got in my wife's briefcase as had half eaten energy bar, got into my bike bag for same reason. $20 of terro (what was there was fossilized and useless) and a week of no guests and ants can be displaced. After that setting up Terro or other non-toxic control around perimeter of house outside and all done. This is pretty normal in Sonoma County where we live to see ants and non-toxic terro or similar pet and child safe solution and a bit of time is all it takes. We should have paid more attention to previous reviews mentioning ants. And yes the cable falls out of bottom of Wifi so a bit of tape might end that nuisance, luckily we saw that in a review and knew how to fix. Once they take a week w/o renting to get rid of ants it'd be a 4-5 star house....we'll see!

Great Views, Disappointing Property in Need of Renovation
Aside from the beautiful location overlooking the ocean and the inviting coastal trail just steps away, this house was a big disappointment. The listing may have been accurate 40 years ago, but it belies the fact that this is an OLD property that needs to be renovated. Where to begin. Mold and rotting wood n the window sills, stains on all the chairs and furniture, worn wood finish everywhere, starting with the front door and everywhere else. The bathrooms, while clean, are of another era. So is the toilet paper provided, which is not even up to national park public toilet standards. This is marketed as a luxury property, but it's only the ocean view that's luxury. This house needs a do over. I will look elsewhere next time.

Excellent views , comfortable , many extra fees including $ 235.00 housecleaning fee . The cleanliness of house was not so great ; I found 2 dirty masks one behind pillows on recliner chair in master bedroom and one behind cushion on living room couch. Also Cheerios on floor in living room along with champagne cork. For the amount of money I paid housekeeping was not acceptable. I do recommend location, accessibility to trails, layout of house . Overall enjoyable stay.

Great Location but Needs Maintenance
The home is in a great location for access to the coastal trail and town. When we arrived, the house was pretty dirty and a bowl of food was sitting on the counter. Also, we had no Internet access for the 1st day because we could not find the modem (which was unplugged). We tried calling the management company many times for help, but couldn't get a call back or a response. We finally figured it out the next day on our own. The home layout is nice, but really needs some maintenance. Many light bulbs were out in the house and on the deck. The garage door also didn't open properly, and the grill is in the garage, which made grilling difficult. Overall a nice home and location but really needs some TLC and better response to renters from the management company!

Everything we wanted!
Great location so close to the ocean! We walked along the cliffs and even had a small hidden private beach 2 minutes walk from the house. Great balcony to hang out on and enjoy morning coffee or evening wine while gazing across a small meadow. We even saw whales! Hot tub was a great time for all and washing dishes while looking at the ocean doesn’t get any better. Well stocked house and plenty of room for all including your dog. Management was very prompt in helping us figure out the modem was unplugged. Thank you! Although it was nice to be unplugged for awhile. Beds were very comfortable and three bathrooms rule. Short 5 minute drive to Gualua where they have two grocery stores and several restaurants to choose from. Some restrictions were in place due to Covid-19, but that was to be expected. We love the Saturday market along HWY 1 and the gift shop in the Gualua shopping center. Upper crust pizza is the best pizza and the Sea Food Shack is awesome too.

Ocean Getaway
The property location and house design were very nice and comfortable. Overall our experience was just as we wish. Checking in and out was simple and quick, much appreciated. The house could use some TLC as the ocean weather is taking a toll.
