Our upstairs balcony room was exquisite! It is literally on the Siuslaw River! The view was beautiful with the fog rolling in in the morning and night and then burning off during the day. The historic Siuslaw Bridge is practically a stone's throw away. With that, though, comes the humming of the cars. Even with everything shut, we could still hear a strange sound, which I thought was a ghost. I even made my husband go outside to see what it was. That's when we realized it was the vehicles driving across the metal grates of the draw bridge! Hence there was conveniently a sound/white noise machine placed by the bed. It was lovely to wake up and open the sliding glass doors to see fishermen heading out in their boats and sea otters playing. The breakfast room is small but clean. My husband especially liked the automatic pancake machine! There is also free coffee and tea in the quiant reception area. The ice machine is also conveniently located right outside. There is no elevator, so that is something to consider if you need physical assistance. The hotel is located in the walkable downtown district with cute shops, art galleries, and restaurants. The Wyndham beds and pillows were oh so comfortable, and the best perk of all was the FREE parking!
