The narrow roads in the neighborhood made my husband a little nervous, but thankfully we never met anyone on the road. Loved the view from the deck and the two living spaces."

"There was hair in the shower and sink. The shower liners looked dirty and much to long and hanging in the dirty water. Trash was left in the downstairs. There was no toilet paper, trash can liners, or soap for the shower. Multiple obvious mouse traps left the feeling there was a mouse problem that we may encounter- which we did not. "

"Overall it's a nice property. Very comfortable and was more than adequate for me, wife, and dog. Backyard is decent size, fenced, and was nice to hang out and chill. It's close to downtown and short drive to Montreat and local trails. I would stay again."

This was our second trip, and even though we had one rainy day, we were able to enjoy our time together, culminating in eating dinner outside while enjoying a nice fire and watching the third Lord of the Rings movie. "We enjoyed the place -- it is well set up for a mountain stay. Wood is indeed beautiful. Kitchen is great. Appreciated the various apps on the TV. Great location, very quiet except for the nearby construction. We would recommend you not go in cool -- or most definitely cold -- months. The place doesn't have central heat, which is fine, but the heaters it does have are simply not sufficient to keep the house warm. Not pleasant to come home to. My husband is not a cold blooded person, and even he...

"Just back from a spring getaway to beautiful Roan Mountain. This was our second stay at Kim and Art's lovely mountain cottage. Had a great time hiking with our dogs, who loved being off leash at the property. The cottage is clean, cozy and artfully decorated. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. We look forward to our next visit!"

"Overall the cabin we stayed in was very well built. Great location much more roomy than expected which was nice for two people, nice to have the amenities that it did. Hot tub was definitely great after a day in the Mtn to relax and end the day. Also saw some deer on the property that was a nice encounter. Cleanliness was fair I imagine the cabin had been shut up for awhile there was a lot of dust on the walls especially above the bed and a few dead files on the floor but the rest of the cabin...
