Pros: Good size for the number of people it holds. AC worked great. Clean, updated and maintained. 5 minutes to the beach. Close to destinations and practical locations (Walmart, Harris Teeter, Convenience store, etc). Walking distance to the Neptune statue.The grill barely worked and needs to be replaced. The cupboards were pretty bare. We cooked the whole stay and thought the utensils and pots/pans, etc were in short supply. There were a couple beach chairs there, but some additional beach extras would be a great touch as well (bikes, sand castle toys/shovels, volleyball, etc).The bedrooms are all upstairs, so it wasn’t super friendly for my disabled mother-in-law. I recommend adjusting the description to reflect this.The door code keypad was awesome. That made access really easy for everyone.All in all, a great stay, though very expensive. I’m probably out of touch, but it seems pricey.

Great location

Spent a week here with my four boys (15, 13, 10, 7). In a great area with restaurants and entertainment in addition to the beach, all walkable.

Perfect does not cover this property. We had a BLAST! Once we parked the car, we could walk everywhere all week! And they have thought of EVERY little detail, lights on the stairs, long towels, small extra amenities you didn't even know you needed. Keyless entry was so convenient. Communications were very clear from the property management. We had zero problems and would absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

Rip-Off

This place is a terrible value. For such an expensive stay, you would expect decent service. It is clear the owner just does the bare minimum to run the business. 1. Dirty - Filthy/stinky couch that smelled like wet dog. We had to lay towels down to sit. The dishware was dirty/unwashed in the cupboards, which is odd because the dishwasher works just fine. It might due to the owner's policy that the guest must wash and put away all dishes - the policy would be corrected if the guest was only required to load the dishwasher, then the owner should run it and put the dishes away to ensure cleanliness. 2. Excess Fees - there was a hefty "cleaning fee" and a separate hefty "linen fee". Together, they were comically greedy. One would expect new linens every time when seeing that item. This just seems like a money grab that is a way to mislead customer when its not included in the main rate. All that for a house that was clearly not cleaned thoroughly before we stayed. 3. Poor Communication - The owner agreed over VRBO messaging that we could check in early (2pm instead of 4pm). We arrived at 2pm and owner went radio silent. We waited outside the place until 330pm (wasting our time with multiple babies in the hot sun) until finally we got the access codes. 3. Other Issues - weak wifi, no cable for live tv, no soap/shampoo/conditioner, expired water filter in the fridge.

Independence Holiday Away

Fantastic home tucked away off of the main road. Quiet, clean and well appointed with everything needed to comfortably host a family and prepare full meals. It had all the beach chairs and umbrellas needed for a family of six. Just a short five minute walk to the shops and restaurants on Atlantic Ave or eight minutes to our toes in the sand. Would absolutely stay here again on the next trip to Virginia Beach.

A Real Vacation

We had a wonderful time in this amazing place! Everything you need and almost brand new! A very clean, relaxing, safe place to stay. We could walk to the beach and different restaurants and hope to return!!
