"We used to stay at this hotel all the time but have noticed the decline over the years. Our room smelled musty and did not feel clean. Our room was located near a busy street and we could hear people yelling and fighting. We did not feel safe. The staff checking us in and out were not very knowledgeable ..."

"Such a unique experience. Beautiful place. This was the castle the Knights of Templar used until Henry VIII took it when he created the Church of England and took all Catholic Church holdings. Much different than when they had it, if course, but a cool little tidbit."

"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. ..."
