We stayed at 9Hotel Chelton Brussels for two nights as a family, paying around £570 including breakfast, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We booked a family room, but were given two connecting rooms instead. At check-in, we were told that the shower in one of the rooms was not working and that we could use the shower in the other room. We understand that maintenance problems can happen, but it was disappointing to be given a room with a known non-functioning shower. There was also a damaged bathroom fixture, and we have photographs of the condition. The following day, after being out for several hours, we returned to find that the rooms had not been cleaned and the towels had not been replaced. Most upsetting was when our daughter fell from the bed onto the floor. Thankfully she was okay, but this was very concerning for us as parents. The breakfast was also very basic and disappointing, especially considering the price we paid and the standard we expected from a 4-star hotel. Overall, we expected much better accommodation, maintenance and housekeeping for the price. Unfortunately, this was not the family stay we expected and we would not choose to stay here again.

It was amazing

Great location, very close to Grand Place and within walking distance of many attractions in central Brussels. We didn’t need a car for most places, although you would need one or public transport for Atomium and Mini-Europe. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the air conditioning worked well. The main downside is that the hotel has no parking. Street parking is expensive and not ideal, but I found a nearby parking garage for about €31 per 24 hours. Checkout was a little difficult because there was nowhere to stop the car near the hotel to load our luggage. Overall, a very positive stay, especially if you are visiting Brussels without a car.

The room was large and very nice with great amenities. We also really enjoyed going to the private and shaded garden with a glass of wine to relax in peace and quiet.

Lovely and accommodating staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. While the view from our room was amazing (over canal) the room was a bit small and dated.

The hotel is nice, and centrally located. My room, however,.was very disappointing. It was small, quite dark, and had only a metal desk chair with no upholstery. The only place to sit was on the bed, which was in an alcove with only one side of the bed open.
