My wife and I took our 4 year old son and 3 year old daughter for a "staycation" at the Ramada Dallas North.
We booked through Expedia to get the best rates. Upon check-in, I was pleasantly greeted and had my room key in hand in less than 5 minutes. The staff was very organized and eager to help.
Our room was very clean and actually a lot nicer than I would have expected. Cleanliness was especially important for us, having young children.
I noticed that one of our lamps was missing a light bulb, so I called the front desk, and requested a new light bulb. Simple enough, right? Well, it turns out the previous light bulb had shattered inside the lamp, and the light bulb casing (the metal cylinder part) was still stuck in the housing socket. I called the front desk again and explained. No big deal. I was worried we would have to wait a long time, but the maintenance tech arrived within 5 minutes of my phone call. He used his pliers to unfasten the metal cylinder and provided us with a brand new light bulb.
I know it's a little thing, but that speedy and friendly (he even chatted with my kids!) service left a lasting impression on us. Now that is what I call customer service!!
The young lady at the front desk (I didn't catch her name) was extremely helpful and answered all my questions with enthusiasm. It was nice to see someone take pride in their job.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
