Great Location

Location, location, location! Why pay mega bucks for 5 star when they are side by side on the Acapulco shore? Apart from having to catch the service lift from the 29th floor, as the doors would not open on the others, the view from the room made up for it.

condos -not a hotel

Pros: room was at least clean, and location is goo
Cons: too many to tell. Common areas are in poor repair
Location: Beach, shopping about 5 minute walk, decent restaurants near by
Upon arrival at about 10:30PM we needed to make a phone call. Locals are not included and we have not had a chance to get any Pesos yet and they wouldn't take $1 even if they kept the change ($7 pesos per call - about 55-60 cents per call). Front desk personnel are some of the most inept I have ever seen and I travel frequently. The was not a an iron in the room and so we requested one, front desk could not authorize it. We had to contact the manger of the condo / room we were staying in. We finally got one. Towels are at a premium, we got bath towels but never hand or wash towels. When we went to the pool because were in of the rooms managed by someone other than the front desk we had to contact someone else and could not get towel where everyone else did. The TV did not work for the first 6 days we in the room and the messages at the front desk did not reach the correct person. I finally had to fix it myself. There was a loose coaxial cable. There isn't a coffee maker or coffee supplied like every other room. The AC in the room worked and cooled the room well but there was always a pool of water in the room in the morning or if we left and left the AC on it. It took 7 days for someone to come out and fix it. We had to leave a bucket under the AC unit to catch the water everyday.

We stayed in the 3 level Penthouse Suite and the Location was great. Beautiful views! The reality... -Outside of the buildings (these are twin towers) look old, faded, and uncared for. The inside of the hotel had stains all over the walls and looked dirty. -The elevators are small, slow, old and at one time we thought we were going to get stuck in one. -There were bugs crawling in the kitchen on the counters, on the floors, on the tables...everywhere. -We didn't have hot water the entire time. Cold showers no matter what time of day or night. -There was a constant drip in the living room which was warping nice hard wood floor. -The roof-top deck looks great in the pictures but in it's present state not so great. The couch cushion and platform were cracked and dirty. The outdoor carpet is ripped and coming up everywhere. The beautiful wicker beach chair in the picture has been replaced with a old, dirty chair. -The hot tube would have been nice if we had hot water. So after waiting for about an hour for it to fill up with cold water, we found out that only one jet worked. It gets much worse, however, on hotels.com you can only type so much. See reviews on TripAdvisor. In conclusion, worse hotel I have ever stayed in.

private suites??? what does that mean.......

Pros: have stayed before
Cons: weekends crowed with lots of familes and scraming kids
Location: the location is awesome.....right on main drag in front of htel and backof hotel faces the ocean
i have stayed at this hotel several times but first time as private suites.....the room was fine except it was privately owned and did not allow all the hotel perks....could not get beach towel at the pool.....room not cleaned daily.....door feel off bathroom vainty...cold water faucet in bathroom would not turn off and had to turn off the water under the sink.....the room was fine and preety and these little things did not bother me ...would not stay in this room again if rooms are available in the general hotel...
