Cameo--Shortest. Hotel Stay. EVER.

My room was in terrible shape; all the walls were scarred and marked, chunks of plaster missing, bathroom fan made a horrific racket. My view was of a construction site. Half the lights didn't work. Awful, awful, awful. When I asked to change rooms they offered a twin, but said I'd have to pay a double room rate! No thanks! This hotel advertises a restaurant, but it only serves breakfast. Cameo Hotel is NO WHERE near downtown. Nearest convenience store: 15 minute walk. No other restaurants in the area. After seeing the room and asking questions about amenities (there are none), I left and booked a new room in the Gardens Hotel which was very nice for the exact same cost as Cameo. Just don't bother with this place.

Its a regular 3 star hotel. I had problem on the first day when there was no hot water in the bathroom and the the water pressure in the shower was low. But the next time I visited them, they gave me a better with none of these problems. I recommend you to stay on the 1st floor as it is in much better condition.
