Across from fire hall sketchier neighbours

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Worked for what needed, one night
Cons: Power plugs, and lighting
Location: Downtown, block up from lake.
Pretty sure this hotel is home to monthly sketchier ppl. great price though, and for only wanting spot to get ready for concert, and crash after not terrible. Water view. bed comfy, but power in room was iffy. extension cords and not enough plugs for 2 women to plug everything in to get ready for going out.

Run of the mill

Staff awful Checked in by four , went back after midnight to find they had given room to somebody else, ended up in room with double instead of Queen size bed. Stinky room, bad shower that leaked all over floor and poorly lit parking lot. Will never go back! Figure they owe me difference in price of double and Queen which I paid for. Not impresses

Hotel is close to downtown

Posted May 5, 2014
Hotel staff was helpful answered all my questions. I felt I paid a little much for the hotel as it seemed more like a motel. Seems like its more for the younger population going to clubs.

This hotel was awful. Do not stay there.

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Nothing even though it was close to where I had to be.
Only 2 lights in the room worked. The bathroom door was kicked in. The room was dirty and gross. The phone did not work and there was no towels. When we told them we were leaving we were told that they would move us to a suite. They did not move us to a suite. We were told that the people in the suite were staying longer. They did move us to a better room that was cleaner. I would not ever stay there again.

walking distance to bar

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: It was walking distance to the bars.
We had a non-smoking room, smelled like it had been smoked in more then once. The front desk person kept coming up to the room even though we were not that load threatening to contact Expedia and saying he would be charging my credit card for a noise expense. The hotel was disgusting and he claimed that it was his nicest room.

Never again

Room was like an oven and there were no individual heat controls. Bathtub very small....too small to take a bath.

This hotel needs work.

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: Needs to be upgraded and brought into the 21st century.
Location: Was not there to do things in Barrie. But the location for my purposes was perfect - near the venue I needed to be at.
This hotel needs to be upgraded, front doors poorly fitting, key cards never working, questionable cleanliness. The wall seemed paper thin allowing for a lot of noise transference especially from the street. Did not sleep.

Cheaper hotel close to downtown

Posted Jan 28, 2014
Pros: It was cheap and close to downtown. But the same time, the downtown neighborhood is not always the most desired place to be, especially at night.
Cons: First, rooms need facelift. Deodorant want cover major clean up requirements.
Location: Perfect location for "party animals" in downtown area.
Based on my room condition, this hotel needs major repair work (especially bathrooms). It is a cheap place for people who would like to be close to downtown Barrie and have fun. I wouldn't recomend for the families with kids.

Would never return

Posted Jan 15, 2014
The front desk staff had no idea what they were doing and barely spoke English. The room was gross and the walls and windows are paper thin and we could hear everything. The phone didnt work so we couldn't complain without having to leave our room which was a separate building than reception.
