“Silver Reef Hotel-a great place to stay!”
A very beautiful hotel. The rooms were very nice, updated. The only thing that stops it from being rated a 5 all the way is the fact that I am a non-smoker and used to non-smoking laws so it is always hard to travel somewhere that does not have these. I would definitley come back to the hotel though as it was great and convenient to shopping.
“Great room and staff, wonderful stay”
Everything exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd have changed is the standard definition tube TV. Good room, friendly staff, we'll be back. The free continental breakfast was really nice. Eggs Benedict, fruit, waffles (that you cook). Just amazing. The nicer restaurants are only open Wednesday thru Sunday. They could also upgrade their coffee (it was weak).
“great hotel”
We checked in later in the evening and there was someone at the front desk who was very informative and very efficient. The room was very clean and the hotel was spotless. Breakfast came with our stay and it was very tasty. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was quiet. Would definately stay again.
“Good hotel when you know what you are looking for.”
Nice hotel, within driving distance of all local sites, in the middle of huge field - expect nothing within walking distance except for casino. Good value, nice food, very good brekfast, pool. Did not use spa service but heard it is good too. The only problem - the property is smoking. In the non-smoking room it is perfect, in other areas you could feel light smoke odor, some people do not tolerate that. Otherwise very good choice.
“Non smoking part in casino”
Very nice that part of casino is non-smoking. Thank you!
“In Ferndale for a soccer game, great location! Great Service!”
The front desk told us that if we needed anything, they were there 24 hours--& they were(!) helpful when I lost my room key, not once, but twice & I wasn't even drinking! I'd read on previous reviews that minors needed to be escorted through the casino (which is appropriate), but only by parents, not a security guard or anything. The kids were somewhat shocked that people would be gambling at 6:30AM, but that is the nature of a casino. Pizza was decent & my son had a delicious panini. Rooms were nice, comfortable & clean (view of Mt Baker a plus!).
“Nice place to stay in the middle of nowhere”
Good experience except for the smoky smell in the lobby from the adjoining casino. For families with kids under 21, be aware that all of the restaurants are in the casino and the kids cannot walk to and from the restaurants unescorted without an adult. Plus they have to stay off the gambling floor at all times. The pool is open for adults only after 9 pm, which may be a disappointment for the kids.
“Nice hotel, good food, small pool”
Overall this place is pretty nice with several places to eat right in the casino area and with good food. The pool is much smaller than you might think based on the picture. There's some smell of smoke/alcohol on the main floor, but rooms don't have any.
“Overall nice experience.....”
Nice hotel. Room very nice but missing a mini-bar. Asked for a late checkout....they offered 1pm....but only allow 2 rooms per floor for late checkout...kind of weird. My wife was using the spa the day we checked out....thus the request. The staff was very nice and worked to accommodate our requests. Their restaurants need to stop deep frying everything. Their steak house is overpriced...especially for the area.
