Expensive hotel. Not sure it is worth paying that

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The lifts are efficient and you don't need to wait long
Cons: Price, rooms need to be modernised, re-furnished, etc. The food in the bar is overly expensive.
Location: Location isn't bad. There is a mall and a metro station just in front of the hotel.
My experience with Sheraton has never been great. It is usually overly priced for what you get in return. This one in Brussels is not different. It is too expensive. The room was really old with a terrible air conditioning. The breakfast buffet is again too expensive and doesn't offer much. On top of the hotel disappointment, I think I had bad luck since the whole area surrounding the hotel is under construction (Aug/14) Everything is up side down. It was noisy and messy. You can take literally hours to reach to the hotel by car. I would not stay here again

Really disappointing for a Sheraton.

The hotel is well located, the beds are comfortable and the bar area was nice. However, the rooms are tired and the bathroom was really poorly maintained and dirty.

In the city center.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Good water pressure in the shower, which is unusual in a European hotel
Cons: I know this is probably a business hotel, but should be more helpful for family/tourist
Location: Centrally located, close to many attractions in Brussels
Hotel is in the city center, with public transportation just outside the hotel. Taxi is always available. The main attractions of Brussels are within walking distance (eg Grand Place, Manneken Pis, shopping etc) The hotel itself is a bit dated, but quite well maintained, has a smallish pool on the roof (indoor). Hotel staff are generally courteous, but not very helpful when we asked about the hop-on-hop-off bus, we we just directed to a brochure, instead of telling us (the fare, schedule that we wanted to know).

Walked everywhere, Brussel s 2014

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Arrived during a heatwave, not to worry I booked this hotel for the pool. Wait, it's closed all week? Murphys law I suppose. I wish they could have noted that was the annual maintenance time because everything else was very satisfying about our stay. Good location, walk to sights dinning, and hundreds of shops. Clean hotel, friendly staff we'd stay here again.

Proximity

Walking distance to the Plaza was short. Wi-Fi in the lobby was adequate.

A dated hotel

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Not much I,m afraid.
Cons: All of the above.
Location: A short walk to shops and some really good restaurants (and breakfast places).
Stayed two nights here simply to connect with a colleague as I usually stay in Royal Windsor. This hotel reminded me of an old fashioned American hotel I used to stay at in Cincinnati in the eighties. Very dated, rooms are dark and dingy, tea and coffee making facilities are positioned right next to the toilet... ugh. No fridge. Goodness knows how many emergency vehicle sirens I heard from daybreak to eventually rising at 7am. Not a fan of buffet breakfasts (get it yourself) and especially at the price that it is.

Very enjoyable stay

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: Loved the free wifi in the lobby, and thought the staff was very welcoming and professional.
Cons: The cost of wifi in the room was high, especially since we arrived a little late and were leaving early. Thankfully there was free wifi in the lobby.
Location: Within walking distance of the train station. Didn't see much for dining in the area, and some streets were a bit dodgy later in the day.
We had a great stay at this hotel - clean, quiet, classy. Even the first moments at the front desk were impressive, as the staff welcomed us to the neighbourhood with numerous suggestions about local attractions. Quite pleased with this stay.
