Historic HotelPosted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: It is close to the historic old town.
Cons: The shower heads could be raised to a standard height.
Location: Excellent restaurants within walking distance. The Oregon Dunes National Park is close by.
The hotel is old but reasonably maintained. The rooms are priced appropriately. It has easy access from the highway. It is the first hotel that I have been at where they "issue" you a remote at registration and collect it when you leave.

Shabby Time Warp!Posted Sep 25, 2014
Make sure they know if you are bringing pets when you book! The booking site did not have a PET selection for occupants. When we arrived, I was told that if we smoked or had a pet in the room I would be charged $150! Luckily, they had a pet room for the original agreed price. The room was at the back of the building, you entered by a slider door. The carpets were just "cleaned" and were still damp; they may have been cleaned but dark spots were still visible. The furnishings are from the 40's and are shabby. It took a while to figure out how to get the shower to work with the jury rigged valve at the head. The toilet seat was not secure...oops! The décor was also dated. TV was a small LED on a cabinet. I will never go here again.

Great Location, Friendly ServicePosted Sep 21, 2014
This is the second time we have stayed at The Lighthouse Inn. It is a great location for walking to the wonderful shops and restaurants in the area. The hotel is quaint ,pretty and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful and the price is reasonable. We will stay here again.

Convenient hotel at the beach.Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: It is a short walk from the historic downtown waterfront. Morning coffee was great.
Cons: Not sure if anything could be done about the creaking floor in the room above the one we shared. We wouldn't have noticed, however, if the room had n
Location: Short walk to historic waterfront, good restaurants. Short drive to beach areas north of town and dune areas to the south.
Lighthouse Inn is a historical gem that offers a reasonably priced alternative to newer cookie cutter hotels in the area.

"historic"Posted Sep 2, 2014
Location: a short walk to DQ, and a few good and busy restaurants in the old town.
within walking distance to decent restaurants, on highway 101. I like it because it's older, and the decoration in the room makes me feel that I am living in a friend's home, it is not another motel.

Quaint hotelPosted Sep 1, 2014
The hotel staff were helpful in recommending restaurants and provided chowder and drink coupons. My husband and I were traveling by motorcycle, and the front clerk provided a blow dryer and cups and plastic ware. The bed was very comfortable.

Nice older motelPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: I love that the building is older and feels like home.
Location: I love that Old Town is in walking distance! You can also walk to Safeway.
I loved staying at this motel. If you are looking for a new motel with all of the new things that come with it this is not the motel for you. If you are looking for a motel with a homey feeling this motel is for sure for you! I loved staying here!!! It felt a lot like home!!!

Location, location, location...Posted Aug 20, 2014
For a one-night stay, The Lighthouse Inn is a perfect little getaway nestled near Florence's Old Town. The rooms are comfortable and feel like a home away from home. We stayed in a standard room with one queen bed. By the description of the room I'd expected a tiny bathroom along with the room, but the bathroom was spacious and clean! The only thing wrong with our stay was the constant noise from other tenants and the cars on the main street outside. No big deal - I'll remember to bring earplugs next time. Otherwise, The Lighthouse Inn is fantastic!

Inn has seen better days....Posted Aug 20, 2014
Despite a friendly host, we would not stay here again. Terrible ancient mattress that gave us both sore hips, peeling wallpaper and very old carpet and bathroom fixtures. Kept awake by the creaking floorboards overhead, suspect folks had been out gambling and came in in the wee hours of the am. Even the hot water for tea tasted ancient and like leftover coffee! A remodel is long overdue at the Lighthouse Inn....
