Location: a short walk to DQ, and a few good and busy restaurants in the old town.
within walking distance to decent restaurants, on highway 101. I like it because it's older, and the decoration in the room makes me feel that I am living in a friend's home, it is not another motel.

Quaint hotelPosted Sep 1, 2014
The hotel staff were helpful in recommending restaurants and provided chowder and drink coupons. My husband and I were traveling by motorcycle, and the front clerk provided a blow dryer and cups and plastic ware. The bed was very comfortable.

Nice older motelPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: I love that the building is older and feels like home.
Location: I love that Old Town is in walking distance! You can also walk to Safeway.
I loved staying at this motel. If you are looking for a new motel with all of the new things that come with it this is not the motel for you. If you are looking for a motel with a homey feeling this motel is for sure for you! I loved staying here!!! It felt a lot like home!!!

For a one-night stay, The Lighthouse Inn is a perfect little getaway nestled near Florence's Old Town. The rooms are comfortable and feel like a home away from home. We stayed in a standard room with one queen bed. By the description of the room I'd expected a tiny bathroom along with the room, but the bathroom was spacious and clean! The only thing wrong with our stay was the constant noise from other tenants and the cars on the main street outside. No big deal - I'll remember to bring earplugs next time. Otherwise, The Lighthouse Inn is fantastic!

Inn has seen better days....Posted Aug 20, 2014
Despite a friendly host, we would not stay here again. Terrible ancient mattress that gave us both sore hips, peeling wallpaper and very old carpet and bathroom fixtures. Kept awake by the creaking floorboards overhead, suspect folks had been out gambling and came in in the wee hours of the am. Even the hot water for tea tasted ancient and like leftover coffee! A remodel is long overdue at the Lighthouse Inn....

Rustic hotel by the riverPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff person was nice and helpful with local directions.
Cons: I suppose the rooms could be renovated. To be fair we probably got the smallest room in the place - on the way out we could see others thatwere nicer.
Location: This hotel is located right at the N end of the Oregon Dunes.
Fun and antique lobby; quite lovely. Our room was small; tiny TV but we didn't need one anyway. Bed was confortable enough.

Very old and was in dire need of renovationPosted Jul 27, 2014
The lady at the desk was not friendly at all , put us on the upper floor at the end of the hall with no elevator an no help to be found with our heavy bags and gave the impression that she could care less.

Don't take your pets unless you live in filthPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: good nights sleep
Cons: Wash the carpets and don't let people stay that don't have a trained dog
Location: Loved Old Towne and the good food
The staff was nice and accommodating but don't stay in the pet rooms the carpet was appalling and they moved us to another that didn't smell like poop however the carpets were very stained. It was gross. Did have a good nights sleep though.

Hotel from HellPosted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Close to shopping.
Cons: It needs tore down.
Location: Old town Florence and shoping are near by but so are nicer motel's for not that much more money.
The room that is offered when you book on Expedia appears to be nothing like what is shown in the picture. There is no air conditioning, the room is right on Highway 101 and one window opens out with no screen. The room does have a ceiling fan thank goodness. The bed should have been dumped years ago. The curtain rod is bent and will not stay in the slot and the closet has a very odd odor. When you check out do not expect to be given a receipt if you book with Expedia because they will not provide you with one. I had booked the room 3 months prior to needing it and my credit card was charged immediatly. If you double lock the door you have to get an employee to come unlock the dead bolt because your room key will not unlock it from the outside, only lock it. It is the room from hell.
