We had no idea of what this property would really be like -- there are two apartments in a beautiful old stone building over a winery! The property is lovely, but the host, whom we only saw once, and others around, speak NO English, so it made a few communication necessities difficult. The apartments have full kitchens, if you can figure out how to work the appliances....great beds, but very small bathrooms. It is a good deal for the price -- perhaps instructions for working appliances could be posted in multiple languages.

We were satisfied with our stay with a number of caveats: No one, the agent, the caretakers spoke English. With our limited knowledge of Italian it wasn't easy to communicate and let them know of the problems we faced. On the first night heating wasn't working. The oven didn't work in the beginning. The dishwasher didn't work. The biggest problem, however, was the noise from the fridge compressor next door. When the apartment next door wasn't occupied, our first 3 nights, no problem. Once the tenants came in and switched on the fridge, it was too noisy to sleep in our bed room. We had to move to the smaller room with two single beds. Due to problems mentioned above I have rated the hotel down a notch. Otherwise, it is a nicely-located farm house with friendly caretakers.
