Hotel close to Ft. Benning

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: I like the hotel for it's location which was 7.5 miles away from Columbus Airport and Fort Benning, that it was nearby the Historical District.
Cons: Upkeep with the condition of the hotel.
Location: Close to many nearby activities, Ft. Benning, restaurant, and a walk over a bridge to Phenix City Alabama.
Upon arriving to the hotel I had to call about it's location. My GPS was not accurate. The recipient that answered my call was so polite and helpful.

tired hotel

This hotel has future potential. At present moment it shows its age. There was some mishaps that was found on first day that was brought to the attention of the staff, it was fixed and a apology was given by owner.

I didn't even want to lay in the bed.

Posted Aug 14, 2014
I laid my towel andsome clothes on the bed before I laid down. I had to barricade my door because the lock seemed a bit iffy. There was what looked too be mold behind the wallpaper, it was partially torn. The roof was falling apart on the edges. And bathroom floor was so dirty. Pool was green and not on purpose. Front desk was very nice tho. Continental breakfast consist of muffins which was wrapped in plastic, which was good. But that was it, there was no coffee. Overall, I should've paid a little more for another hotel. The room was cheap but not worth it. I wanted to sleep in the car but it was to got out. After I took a shower in the morning I didn't even want to sit back down on the bed. Terrible.

Ok for it's intended use

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Within walking distance to the place I came to Columbus for.
Cons: Larger and better appearance of bathroom.
Location: Restaurants and whitewater rafting.
I just needed a place to sleep. My dining and entertainment were elsewhere.

Flooding abound

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The pool when it was not raining was nice.
Cons: The Rooms, the hotel needs to update the rooms and seriously DEEP clean them.
although they are renovating the lobby, the carpet in the room looked as if it had not been cleaned in years. The internet connection was awful and the linens were dirty. It rained the entire weekend, so because of poor drainage the parking lot on several occasions had about 6 inches of water in them. Also the shower in the room did not work properly so the tub filled with water as you were showering. The breakfast was frozen donuts and muffins with milk that had gone bad. I admit that I did not expect much for the price that I paid but this was even below those standards.

Missing supplies

Posted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Sufficient room, but the extras were definitely missing. The shower was really dirty. No tissues, no coffee cups, no cream and sugar even though there was a coffee maker and coffee. Thankfully we really just needed a place to sleep for a few hours.

Proximity to downtown and price - the only virtues

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: It is close to the river front, and that area of Columbus is attractive.
Cons: Cleaning AC filters would make the room cooler, but would also save the hotel money. It's hard to understand letting this go.
The first negative about this room is that it was not cool. July in Georgia is not the time for failed AC. I personally pulled the AC filter and cleaned it. It was covered solid with about 1/4 inch of accumulated dust, and obviously had not been cleaned in a looong time. The tile in the bath had mold. The tub was poorly resurfaced. Yet, it had a trendy curved shower curtain rod. I'd prefer clean. The coffee pot, which is a nice touch, didn't work. One of the lights didn't work. The check-out time posted on the back of the room door didn't match the sign in the lobby - or housekeeping's plans. Children were running outside and on the walk-way upstairs shouting and laughing well after our bed time. The pool had algae and a green color to the deep end

Bathroom extremely dirty!

Posted Jul 19, 2014
The rooms need to be renovated and the bathroom had an enormous amount of hair! Seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time! Air conditioner was a bit run down as well!

Fair

Pros: Updated bath
Cons: Update everything in the room, especially furniture, TV and A/C.
Location: I go to the CSU school of music on biz
I was there for 4 nights. On one day, they didn't come clean my room. The old TV and remote were hard to operate. Everything in the room seemed old and the bed was not comfortable. I didn't get a good night's sleep any of those nights. The A/C was really loud and barely worked. The bath seemed to have been re-done fairly recently.
