So disheartened

Posted Apr 14, 2015
We have been staying here almost once a week for the past month or two. One time we got sent to a room that hadn't been cleaned. But we did get a clean room after complaining. This time, the fire alarm system kept going off, starting before 7am for over 2 hours off & on. Even though I had specifically asked for a late check out, for 12 pm, housekeeping tried to enter our room at 10:30am! Regular checkout isn't until 11 am!! Disgusted. Probably won't be back. Hello Drury Inn!

Always nice to come here and the cost is definitely very good for how nice this place it. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

We had no toliet paper in our room the comforter had all sorts of brown stains on it and the bathroom had mold above the shower head. We also had to wait for fresh towels for 4 hour. There was no remote for the tv and the lighting is terrible in both the bedroom and the bathroom. The bed and pillows were extremly comfortable though!! And the room is very large with lots of room. You can tell the hotel used to be real nice in it's day but has gone downhill with matinence since then.

Pool water was cloudy. Stains on the carpets and curtains. Could use a good cleaning.

Disappointing

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Location , that's all.
Cons: Everything
Very disappointed in the appearance and care of this hotel that use to be so nice when it was a Hilton. Front desk help sitting with head phones on, maids arguing in the hall, printers out of ink. Overall appearance was not appealing . Poor management.

Very dissappointing

Pros: The lobby
Cons: A new cleaning staff - new carpet - newer tv, , newer sheets , clean the walls, clean the moldings & floors, clean the phones, clean the drapes,
Location: Lots - good location
The first room we got had not been cleaned. Beds were not made, linens/ towels were all over the floor. I had to walk way back to lobby and tell them. They gave us a different room. I was sure glad I didnt have white socks on because the carpet looked dirty and had stains all over.. The phone on the night stand was so dirty I didnt want to touch it. The edge of the tile molding in the bathroom hadnt been cleaned in a year. The room darkening drapes were dirty - you wouldnt want to touch them. Two good things: I thought the bed was comfortable! ( Although I really wondered if the sheets were clean). And, I thought the heater was fairly quiet. I dont mind that we didnt have coffee pot, or hair dryer, or microwave, or refrigerator, or free breakfast, or the furniture was older. What I mind is a dirty room and the staff didnt seem to care.

Great Value for the location

Pros: Staff, Pool, Location
Pool had a little more chlorine then I would have liked, but the overall Hotel was great. The price was good and the location was a direct path to the parent in town. It is in a safe area and the hotel staff was very friendly.

If you need a place to just sleep the price is rig

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: Not much. A comfortable bed.
Cons: Cleaning and customer service.
Location: North side of Detroit. Lots of Malls, restaurants
At the check in the staff was friendly but not overly helpful. The rooms were dirty. The table in the room had not even been cleaned since the last person was there. I went to move the tray that the ice bucket sits on and could not move it. At first I thought it was fastened in place, but then I came to realize it was stuck to the table. Sometime in the past something had been spilled and it had never been cleaned up, the tray was just stuck to a sticky gooey mess. I am not sure if the room had been vacuumed. Motel had no customer services, no Wi-Fi, no coffee in the rooms or lobby, no microwaves pretty much nothing. Luckily all we needed was a place to sleep for a few hours and a shower. My wife did not even take a shower because she did not like the looks of the tub. We arrived at 10PM the hallways still had bedding and trash in them from the night before that cleaning staff had put there and never picked up. Overall the whole place looked run down and not managed very well. Unless you just need sleep avoid this motel.
