Lovely family run hotelPosted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: old world decor, and very nice staff - nothing too much trouble
Cons: soundproofing from floor above.
Location: We were just breaking our journey, but the area isn't that spectacular They had a lovely outside pool if you wanted it.
Food was the best I had whilst in Romania. Very clean. Beds a bit hard, but a very quaint place tp stay.

Charming country retreatPosted Oct 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Charming family-run hotel. Each room has a theme and name and is decorated accordingly. It's in the countryside, about 10 minutes from Deva and 30 minutes from Hunedoara, a good base to explore the fortresses and castles, but it's also worth staying put and enjoying the large pool, horseback riding and hilltop views. Comfortable and clean overall, except the bathrooms could use updating. The showerhead kept falling off its base and the plumbing had issues, but the staff was wonderfully kind and accommodating and will do their best to help out. The top floor rooms have low slanted wood beamed ceilings, so ask for a more standard first floor room if you're not into that. Also, there's no elevator, so keep your luggage minimal. Would definitely recommend.

Great first nightPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Comfortable, clean and good food.
Cons: Staff in restaurant could have asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. We were left unattented whilst they looked after a party of friends.
Used hotel as first night stop off after arriving in Romania. Very nice and comfortable and well looked after by staff.

This is a large b&b really, don't expect a hotel. The rooms (as you can see from the pictures) all have two beds so if you ask for a double bed they'll just put two beds together, which is not nice really. The restaurant on site serves ok food, but you can smoke inside (like everywhere else in Romania) which is not very pleasant. The rooms are big enough and quite clean (there was hair on the rug) and the toilets are clean too. However, if other guests were smoking in their bathrooms you could smell it strongly. Breakfast was mediocre at best. There is a pool on the hotel but it is not heated, we still enjoyed it though! We wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it either, look elsewhere, there is plenty of choice!

Beautiful boutique hotelPosted Aug 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
We all were amazed at how beautiful the hotel was. We had booked only 1 night but cancelled a reservation elsewhere so we could stay a second night. The staff were excellent. The pool area is so beautiful and the setting is idyllic set in green fields and wooded hills away from the main roads. We are now planning to have our renewal of our wedding vows there. Truly lovely, quaint, unique and friendly.
