First room had a phone that didn't work and a broken toilet seat. Amy moved us right away and upgrade us to queen doubles. Room was fine, hole in wall looked like it had been created with a fist, mattresses caved in in the middle, pool needed to be cleaned, bathroom was tiny. Amy did what she could. Rooms, not just halls, need an update.

The first room they gave us was not cleaned. They immediately moved us to another room. The room smelled better, but was not very clean either. The bathroom was extremely small -- about the length of a tub and the width of 2 tubs. The tub did not drain when showering. The towels looked as though they had been there forever -- brown stains, smelly. Hair was all over the walls. The sheer curtains at the window were in shreds. The hallway carpet looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. They appear to be making visual decor improvements at the hotel, but cleanliness is a real issue. On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable. The mattresses appeared new which we ascertained when doing a bed bug check, something I have never done, but felt compelled to do given the lack of cleanliness. I would never stay at this hotel again. It was very difficult to exit the hotel property in the morning as it is on a very busy highway.

Cons: Almost everything could be improved. Entire hotel is dirty and unkempt. Swimming poll is not open and is an eyesore with a foot of dirty water.
Location: Nice area
Hotel has the bones of a nice property, but maintenance is poor and hotel is greatly deteriorated. Entire hotel needs paint and cleaning. Swimming pool is a eyesore with a small amount of dirty water in the bottom. Restaurant pictures bear no resemblance to actual restaurant. Overall, a poor experience -- hotel needs a complete update..

Cons: clean, repair and replace
Location: centrally located but we were there for a graduation party so the nearby attractions didn't interest us.
we guessed the hallway was lined with rolls of new carpeting to be installed in these rooms. bathroom floor was dirty - a long-haired person was the previous guest the side table wasn't wiped or it wouldn't have had rings of previous glasses on it. and what a pleasure to get up in the night, passing the a/c unit and finding my feet soaked in cold a/c dripped water on the carpeting. then i noticed the a/c wasn't exactly installed into the space....

Pros: We liked the woman at the front desk -- she was pleasant although not very helpful.
Cons: They should not give anyone room 313 -- it's just too prone to the noise in the halls.
Location: Longwood Gardens is awesome and we had a wonderful day there after our stay in the hotel.
We were given a room next to the elevator and the ice machine. There were a lot of college age folks staying in the hotel that night so constant traffic in the hallways with a lot of yelling. The ice machine was in use all night. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallway. There was no filter from the noise as the walls were paper thin. Otherwise, the beds were cheap and uncomfortable, the bathroom tiny and the location of the room offered us a window view of a brick wall. We would have loved to have been given another room or at least given the chance for a refund or price reduction. When we spoke to the woman at the front desk we were told that since we purchased through Expedia, it was unlikely... I also discovered that there was no real discount in making the purchase through Expedia... we maybe saved ten bucks at the most. What a bummer of an experience. Wish we had just called around to hotels in the area to book.

Pros: Price. Nice staff. Good location. Comfy mattress and pillows.
Cons: Deep clean the entire hotel. Shampoo, brand new fabrics, dust every corner, change carpets if possible.
Location: Close to downtown West Chester. Not too far drive to philly. Close to interstate.
You do get what you pay for here. Upon arrival. A/C in lobby was not working. It was muggy and smell mold and mildew as you walk in, much like an old basement smell during summer. Its a great price, and good for those on a budget. Good location to West Chester. Pool was not will filled with water yet and deck was still leaf filled. Fitness room is out dated. The staff was nice however. The bed is really comfy, the room just felt kinda dirty and humid even though the space seemed to be updated a few years back. Maybe a simple shampoo and brand new sheets should do the trick.

Rooms too small, musty smell and they had a pool that the kids would have loved to use and it wasn't open!!!! There was s TV sitting room for the kids to hang out and the TV didn't work!!!

Front desk staff was excellent but some of the housekeepers were not so nice. Not a bad stay, but not the best we've ever had either.

Good quiet hotel between Philadelphia and Wilmington De. Close proximity for a visit to Longwood Gardens and Brandywine Art Museum. Just minutes outside of West Chester, one of the most charming towns anywhere, with excellent restaurants.
