the staff is very rude, the photos you have on your page are the opposite of what you get! and they say things like no internet in all areas and this is false!

Close to beach but conditions are horrible!

Posted May 26, 2015
Literally across the street from the beach but rooms are disgusting, moldy, and very old. Had to shower with sandals on. No ice available on site. Just bad!

Bab experience

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Nothing, it was ugly and dirty,
Cons: Reconstruction and remodeling everything, including the staff.
Location: Didn't have any signage, no illuminations
Everything there was nasty, and inhospitable. We found cockroaches, the carpet was wet, kitchen and bathroom were dirty. No illuminations in the hallway.

Don't even think about booking this hotel

Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: Leaving it
Cons: Everything, from the accomodations to the attitude of the staff
Between the rat that greeted us (possibly the friendliest of the living creatures we met at the Avalon) and the dubious stains on the carpet of the room they showed us to (also the lights didn't work, possibly as a half-hearted attempt to disguise the disrepair), we decided to cut our losses and leave rather than risk staying at this hotel. The receptionist did offer an alternative room, but this one was actually worse than the first - again, the light failed to work, the door didn't properly fit the frame and the carpet was more stained than clean. This wasn't the cheapest hotel on offer by any means, or the most expensive, but I expected at least a basic standard for the price which wasn't met. Never again

Short walk to the beach.

Posted May 15, 2015
Pros: Proximity to the beach.
Cons: Nothing will improve as the facility is slated to be torn down.
Location: Like mentioned before, proximity to the beach is excellent. One can walk to many resturaunts, rent bikes, sit on the beach promenade to people watch.
We were looking for an inexpensive place to park our car, spend the night and a full day at the beach. This motel has been sold and will be torn down An overnight stay actually costs less than renting a cabana at Crandon Park. Yes the hotel is old but the room we had was clean, air conditioned and had a refrigerator.

Cheap. Close to the beach. Not fancy

Posted May 12, 2015
It's on A1A. You get what you pay for. It's more for students and people who are on a budget and don't care but want to stay by the beach. Other then that we had a great time.
