2 day stay

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: location, quiet room. air conditioner, heater worked well and was quiet. Upstairs is better, no noise from any upstair neighbors
Cons: working hot tub would be nice
Location: Georgetown, Silver Plume shopping, out to eat. ride the Georgetown loop train. climb Mt Bierstadt, Mt Evans, camping, hiking
We stayed upstairs in a non smoking room that was quiet, clean, air conditioner, heater worked good. Updated shower, firm beds, clean sheets. Everything worked. breakfast was good and adequate. Location off highway 70 and close to Georgetown is excellent. Over all a very good value for the price.

A Good Place To Stay

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Easy to get to. Clean rooms. Locking doors. Functional air conditioning.
Cons: A better continental breakfast. (Perhaps boiled eggs? Plain yogurt)
Location: Georgetown Loop tourist railroad. Mining museums. Old Georgetown and historic buildings. Exciting four-wheel drive trails nearby.
I spent two nights in Georgetown when I traveled there to do some shopping in Denver and do some four-wheeling the day after. The hotel is convenient to the interstate, easy to find, and the rooms were easily accessed. I confess I didn't think much of the continental breakfast. But then, I checked in to the motel because it was clean, the doors locked, the air conditioning worked, it had internet service, and I didn't want to pay through the nose for much fancier digs. For my purposes, the property worked out well. People planning to dress for a black-tie and formal-dress function nearby might feel a little over-dressed.

Pros: Location
Cons: Everything could be improved.
The front desk person was downright rude. When asking for a late checkout, I was told that I could not have one. I booked this hotel specifcally because the website stated 11:00 check out/late check out available. I was told I would have to be gone by 10:30. The room was filthy. The bathtub had 6 hairs in it and had to be cleaned before I could use it. There was a cigarette on the bedspread. The top half of the bathroom was covered in mildew (hoping it wasn't black mold) and the lightbulbs in the bathroom were COVERED in dead gnats.

Not what it looked like in photos.

Pros: Location Right off the Hwy.
Cons: Every thing I have been in the hotel industry a long time and I think I would start over with this one!
Location: The George Town loop and lots of fun off road trails.
When we got there the man at the counter was very rude. Did not look at us the whole time we were trying to check in. The room had a crack in the ceiling that went from the door to the bath room. the TV was tiny and the sheets on one bed were dirty. The laundry room for staff use is in the breakfast area down some rock steps with a outside entrance and there was a young man lifting one of those big carts up the stairs. "Dangerous". Breakfast consisted of hard and dry pastries and I waffle maker. They were the worst waffles I have ever tried to eat! I will never stay there again.

Old hotel made over.

Pros: The staff, breakfast and community room. Close to the railroad and town.
Cons: Cleanliness, space, electrical.
Location: Georgetown is awesome to visit- unique shop & homes. Ride the Loop Railroad, definitely drive up Guanella Pass- easy drive & we saw mountain goats
Rooms were crowded, dirty corner in bathroom, board on wall around headboards was a noggin knocker. Anything we plugged into the electrical outlets would fall out! Hot tub not functioning. Barely enough room to walk. Clerk was kind enough to give us adjoining rooms since she saw the same last names.

,comfortable and quiet. The only complaint was that the sink and mirror were so low that they were almost unusable.Must have been installed by a midget.
