Good value

Good value, not as nice as newer hotels, but for the money I found it nice enough.

Only Place avaiable

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: The girl at desk was nice. She couldn't do anything.
Cons: Bulldoze it
Was put in a room upstairs outside. Bathroom was filthy. Towels so old I would not wash my car with them. Tv was old with horrible picture. Beds are terrible, old and uncomfortable, pillows suck. Never stay there again.

Never stay here.

We stayed there because they had an indoor pool, continental breakfast and a bar. The pool heater was broke, so we couldn't swim, went to breakfast the next morning and they said they had no continental breakfast (I called the night before and they said it started at 7am). We went to go to the bar for a drink and it was closed never opened the whole time we were there. Went to take a shower friday night didn't have any cold water all hot it wasn't fixed till around 11 that night. That was to late for 4 people to get their showers. It was to much money to pay for not getting anything they said they had. I think we should get a refund .

Getting old

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Cons: update facilities
Location: close to downtown and any other events
Hotel has great location, but appears to be very run-down. Pool was extremely cold and hot tub was cold. Sauna non-operational. Doors loose on room and could not get room warmed up. Hopefully this hotel gets updated soon.

Worst place to stay in Great Bend.

Arrived to check in and had to wait at least 10 minutes for anyone to show up at the front desk after ringing the service bell. Should have known then to turn around and leave and try and find somewhere else to stay, but we were already running late to the function we came to town for. Was given a choice of rooms, we could have pool side but the rooms weren't "remodeled" or we could have 2 rooms on the second floor that were "remodeled". Chose the 2nd floor rooms, and they WERE NOT remodeled. One room had such a bad odor that we sprayed half a bottle of Fabreeze in the room. The TV and furniture were old and the tub had dead bugs in it. The other room was remodeled if you consider putting a flat panel TV in the room and that's it. The furniture was old and nothing had been remodeled. The pool was ice cold and the hot tub wasn't much warmer, no towels in the pool area. The breakfast buffet was terrible, everything was cold. Will never stay there again and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Would not stay here again

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Room was small with questionable people hanging around outside. Tiny bugs all around the sink and bath tub. Afraid to leave anything outside of my bags. I actually had to wash the bath tub out multiple time trying to rinse the bugs out before taking a shower. Disgusting!!! I would have actually left that night if another hotel was available, but due to a basketball tournament in town no other decent hotels had rooms. I thought this one would be nice since it was at the Convention Center but I was wrong! I would never stay here again!!!

Wouldn't recommend

Hallways were dark, hair on the bathroom towels in our room, pool and hot tub water was yellow and dirty. The type of people hanging out side around the rooms made us feel uncomfortable and then we were told to be sure to lock our car doors. We didn't stay. We checked out as quick as we checked in!

Probably would not stay there again

Smelled really bad. I'm sure it was a great hotel at one time....70's? The way it was set up with the pool and jacuzzi in the middle of hotel was really nice. Could be updated. Painted rooms and hallway, a new lining for pool and jacuzzi. Carpet could replaced. Just all over updated!

Wouldn't stay here

The air conditioning did not work, the room was old and not clean, the hotel was dark and dingy. I did not feel at all comfortable there. We left and went to another hotel.

Needs updating

In town for reunion. We stayed with a small dog, so I don't know if other rooms were better, but the chairs in the rooms, the seats were stained and the edge of the cushion of one was ripped out. Rust stain in bathroom sink, pressure to flush toilet was not good, but shower did have good water pressure. Bed pillow lumpy, hole in top sheet, otherwise bed was comfortable. Not worth the room rate, glad it was my free one from hotels.com In dire need of a redo.
