Great GetawayPosted Dec 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
I needed to get away with my wife and we stayed in town at this hotel. I was thrilled with the entire experience. Except when my wife said we should of brought the kids. They would of enjoyed the strawberries and champagne. I cant win. This hotel is a bargain gem nobody seems to know about. I think we will go there on a weekly basis. (without the kids)

Outdated and Dirty.Posted Nov 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Pros: Cheaper than some others. Desk lady was friendly. Fridge and microwave. Flat screen TV Cons: -Old, worn out, and B.O. smelling beds. -Dirty, old bathroom that had what looked like urine lines running down the wall in front of the toilet. - 12" rip in pillow case -dirty and stained blinds -dirty floors, skittles scattered under edge of bed. -bent/crooked wall lamps -plywood looking board used as sink stand front. -label on door warning not to be in parking lot alone after dark, not to open your door even ro people claiming to be staff. -hot tub not working and colder than regular pool.

West Central Kansas Hotel StayPosted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: Room was close to door but across from extremely noisy ice machine.
Cons: Update, renovate rooms.
Location: Close to restaurants and downtown area.
At check in I was booked for two rooms instead of one. Initially request two beds with a roll away, no rollaway, room too small for one. Hotel staff changed booking without a hassle or no questions!! I was told this was a deluxe room, I would have hated to see a normal room, carpet worn and dirty, bathroom tile needed caulking and tile discolored and dated. Bathroom fixtures ie: faucets and handles dirty and discolored.

Old but nicePosted Nov 11, 2013
This is an older hotel but clean, quiet, and comfortable. A change in management would fix the poor customer service and restore this property to the best in town.

My stay at Highland Hotel & Convention CenterPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms. They have an indoor swimming pool and good restaurant. Nice staff.
Cons: Internet connectivity was basically a no go for me but what I was needing to do was a bit more than just surfing the web.
I rented 3 rooms and all were very clean and comfortable. My only gripe was their Internet connectivity was horrible, but they may just have had an issue only that night, but if you're not needed that then I'd recommend Highland Hotel & Convention Center any day.

great for a short stayPosted Oct 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
We almost decided to not book this hotel after reading some negative reviews. However we were pleasantly surprised- the room was large, had a fridge and microwave, everything was working and reasonably clean. It was a bit worn but otherwise perfect for a short stay. They have a restaurant on-site which serves a breakfast buffet which was quite good.

chargesPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Location, friendly staff, restaurant.
Cons: plumbing and heating curtains on the windows would have been nice.
Location: eat out. thrift store. hard to get on and off the highway
I have contacted the hotel with a copy of the reservation we made with you and paid for. They again charged us when we showed them the credit card that we used. Therefore double charges. They have since contacted us and will be crediting us. The room was ok. Thing was that the plumbing in the bathroom sink had to be turned on and off when not in use. It had a running stream. Second, the thermostat for heat and cooking was either wired backwards or something. The heat didn't work well, but we were warm enough with no winter conditions. There were no heavy curtains only sheers on the windows Thank you.

Just OK.Posted Oct 10, 2013
Location: Applebee's is next door.
It's old, but in pretty good condition. It needs updating. The pool and hot tub were not inviting. It was just ok. Bathroom needs some work. For the money it was fine.
