Old, worn off hotel next to airport

Old worn off hotel. Pain mediocre food, very limited choice of food, no fruits at lunch and dinner. Guests pay for drinkable water in theor rooms. Staff is OK but very understaffed.

The Hotel staff needs training! They seemed grumpy and bored constantly, hardly ever smiled...I just didn't feel very welcome. The hotel needs renovations...it shows wear and tear in various places. It was not dirty however. The location was fine, very close to the airport but there was very little airplane noise. Great beach right by the hotel. The food choices were rather limited but tasty. Very little fruit was offered at breakfast and none at lunch or dinner.

Pros: Location is great price is half of Sandals, since we were visiting our daughter and off resort often it suited our needs perfectly
Cons: Food choices and quality, staffing and training, repairs and quality of facility
Stayed here to visit our daughter at SGU, her house was very near the resort. Resort is dated and understaffed. While booked as an all inclusive there are very few options included. One buffet at each meal that are repetitive and boring. One other limited menu oriental restaurant but you have to pay to eat here. Bars are sparsely stocked and staffed by only one bartender. Bartenders seemed to be uninterested in their jobs and their guests. Wait staff are also too short staffed and seem to plod through their day. The sanitary practices are mediocre at best. Rooms are basic no frills with weak air conditioners and limited US power. Wifi was fairly good throughout the resort.

If you want a pool and beach experience close to the airport , it's fine. But rooms can be a little primitive, ie two safes not working and beds that are as hard as concrete.

Limited food choices & must wear pants to dinner??

Pros: Decent beach area on sports side, awesome sunsets, Charmaine at hotel excursions was amazing & we knew exactly what to expect on a trip booked w her.
Cons: Men have to wear long pants & a collared shirt after 6pm & women can wear whatever they wish. There was no a/c in the main dinning room! Not happy!!
Location: St. Georges was a long ways away, but Aquarium restaurant is just a short beach walk from hotel and it was amazing every time we went!!!!
We arrived Nov 3/14 & stayed for 2 weeks. Would not recommend 2 weeks at this resort or this island for that matter as not that much to do! First off taxi to hotel was $10US for a literal 2 minute ride but likely still cheaper than a hotel trans. HOTEL: Our room was oceanfront, waves lapping was lovely. Beds were squeaky, a/c worked great, tub was filthy, location to pool & restaurant a bit far, pool was up plenty of stairs & washrooms on main floor, lawn was overgrown and unkept, pillows were either very thin or very thick but both flat & hard, food was very limited, not alot of selection & very predictable - ie: fruit salad, consisted of watermelon only. Drinks are only available in 2 locations & at certain times. Scope out Terry and have him make you a BBCC! Yum!!! EXCURSIONS: Book with the Charmaine at the hotel or Dexter on the beach. If you want value for your money we strongly suggest NOT booking with Air Canada Vacations. Sure Dexter is a guy on the beach trying to make a living but he actually goes with you on the trip & you don't pay til lunch time. Charmaine explains everything in great detail so you know exactly what you're getting in advance. Air Can sugar coats details & its VERY hard to get a hold of them if there's an issue plus they DO NOT go with you. Trip to Carriacou island with Air Can is a complete rip off - save your money & avoid disappointment! *Tips are included on your bill when you eat offsite so need to tip extra

Charming, but lots of mosquitoes

Pros: The food showcased the island's culture and the small, secluded beach.
Location: Local festivals on the island, water tubing, site seeing, historical landmarks.
I expected a lot more from the hotel, but I am ashamed to say that it was not the best experience. For one, food was only served during certain hours, so if you are hungry between 4-6p sorry you must eat a slice of bread (seriously only had bread and cheese during that time). They also did not provide food after hours, which is terrible for the night owl like myself. There were plenty of flies and mosquitoes at all restaurants, so please prepare to be bitten. There wasn't a night when I didnt feel like I wasnt going to acquire chikungunya. However, the food was very tasteful and provided insight on the Grenadian culture. This was a plus! In terms of activities at the resorts...not the best. The water sports were included in the package, and they were okay, but it wasn't much to choose from. There were not many other activties to partake on the resort either. The cleanliness of the rooms were great; although the air conditioner was not good enough to cool the room. Also, housekeeping kept the door open while cleaning and that allowed all 1 million mosquitoes to enter your room. Bed was okay, not terrible and not great. I had an ocean front room. The view was fantastic, but unable to sit on balcony due to mosquitoes

Hotel has a great location. Overall property needs some significant repairs. Bottom of pool was coming apart.
