Nice hotel, but no ESPN!

Missed Duke/Virginia basketball game because of no ESPN. Half the people in the U.S. watch ESPN. Many of the channels available in the room are watched by very few people.

Not what I was expecting AT ALL

Pros: It was conveniently located near the Hampton Coliseum.
Cons: Everything. Cleanliness, customer service, breakfast, the smell of the building....everything.
Location: Coliseum and close to eating and shopping.
I am not a real "hotel buff" but needed somewhere to stay that was conveniently located and nice (the Embassy Suites was booked). I was sorely disappointed with the "cheap motel" smell that hit you as soon as the doors flew open. Disgusted and upset with hair being left on the sink, in the tub, or on the toilet. The beds were super small and uncomfortable. They gave us the room right in front of the elevator so we were up all night. We could also here loud talking and laughing all night long. The breakfast (at best) should be called "continental" and should not require you to keep up with a ticket. It was overall a very disappointing experience. If I were you, I'd pay a few extra bucks and spring for the Mariott.

Pay the extra money to stay at the embassy

Tv didnt work plus it wasnt even a flat screen. The chair in the room had a rip in it. The bathroom is very small. They were still cleaning the rooms way after 5pm. Was thirsty so i purchased a water bottle from their vending machine only to find out it was 4 oz bottle for a dollar.

After visiting this hotel on numerous occasions I was dissatisfied with the changes that were made with breakfast and the way the new process was handled. Upon checking in, I told the attendant that it was over 7 of us including children and she gave me a voucher for 2 adults only. When only 2 children and 1 other adult came to eat, I was given the third degree and was told to go back to the desk to have it changed. The man there would not change it because he said I ordered through Expedia and it only showed 2 adults. I didn't order thru expedia nor did I ever have an option to indicate the number of people. Needless to say, I didn't argue but I've decided that I will not return there. To make matters worse, the man seemed to be monitoring me when I asked for towels; he asked me to bring the used towels all the way back downstairs!! I will not do their job! Totally annoyed!

Good price, good location but...

There were 3 adults on our reservation...check-in was easy, staff was friendly...even helped with directions to a nearby site....however, there was only 1 washcloth and 2 towels for 3 adults,,,,we called the front desk twice, even going down to get the linens that were promised to us...on second trip back to front desk, we were told they were no available towels or washcloths...WHAT???? Thankfully, a Wal-Mart was nearby and we went at 11pm to purchase our own linens!

Slooow draining tub. Tiles loose in elevator. Breakfast was so so and requires U keep up with a voucher or the free breakfast cost $9 for a a so so meal. But go the price, I still would stay again.

The room was dirty upon checkin and the water was brown. The customer service was even worst and management had no desire to correct the issues we experienced. Do NOT stay here!

Pros: They had good coffee in the lobby and the location was great.
Cons: most importantly, the customer service should be improved.
Location: Great location.
My friends and I stayed at this hotel for two nights to attend Hampton University's homecoming. The heater did not work, the front desk staff had bad attitudes, and it was a struggle to get clean towels. If you do not make it to the continental breakfast at least 10 minutes before they close....you will not get food. The throw everything away. We all agreed that we would never stay at this hotel again. They had good coffee in the lobby and the location was great.
