Eco hotel close to naturePosted Dec 20, 2013
Cons: I know why they don't, but running hot water in the wash rooms will be great!
Location: Its 12 kms away from Rishikesh. You could head into town or stay here for some yoga, nature photo walk or visit the Neelkanth Mahadev temple.
It was by chance that we booked this hotel on Expedia. We stayed there only a night but overall the experience was good. We reached a little later in the night and would have easily missed the entrance if it were not for a few villagers who directed us back to the camp. The camp way descends just out of the road so keep your eyes open! We had to call someone from the hotel to help us down with the luggage, but with no mobile network we had to drive back 2-3 kms and call them back. Everything other than this about the hotel was great! The owner, who was there to welcome us himself, the hotel staff, the cook and the food he cooked, the views... if you are doing a weekend trip to Rishikesh, this hotel is recommended. I know some of my friends will love it and some others wont. Like the name says its an eco-hotel and the owners have tried as much to keep it that way. So if you're looking for mobile data, tv's, 24*7 hot water... well you might want to think again. But if you want an experience, this place is a good option.

A perfect retreat!Posted Dec 31, 2012
Pros: The food, location and service.
Location: Unspoilt natural beauty.
This is a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of cities and towns. Anand is a kind and genuine host who provided us with a warm welcome after our crazy taxi journey from Delhi. The service was super, food was amazing (seriously the best we've had in India) and the location is awe inspiring. Life here is simple - walk in the hills, along rivers and to the Ganges, visit ashrams and temples or take a taxi to a local town (best prices for souvenirs so far!). Come to Rishikesh Valley if you want some time to unwind and nourish your body and mind in a beautiful natural setting. Bring a jumper in winter for the colder nights.

Beautiful LocationPosted Apr 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Rishikesh Valley for two nights at the beginning of April. We found the owners to be extremely helpful and the hotel itself is well maintained. The only downside to this hotel is the location - it is about 4km from the main town of RIshikesh and after about 9pm you may find it difficult to get back to the hotel unless you have your own transport. That said we loved our stay here and would recommend this to anyone else looking for somewhere peaceful to relax!

Perfect relaxing locationPosted Jun 21, 2010
We had the best part of our trip to India whilst staying at Rishikesh Valley. The owner, Anand, was able to organise whitewater rafting, an elephant safari (we saw 14 wild elephants) and he gave us daily yoga sessions. The food was also the best we had in India. Getting into the main city is easy with public or private taxi, but the tranquility of the location meant we rarely wanted to leave the site. A brilliant place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone.
