“Service above and beyond”
We booked this hotel using a free Friday night coupon along with an very good weekend rate through one of the Expedia special deals. All totaled we probably spent much less than one would normally expect to pay for 1 night, but upon check-in, the staff at the Grandview treated us like VIPs. Our room was fairly small, but nicely decorated, with a large, comfortable bed. We were quite happy with the room; however, early the next morning; we awoke to an apparent herd of moose going wild upstairs. It seems the folks above us had kids with lots of energy and unfortunately they unleashed it above our heads. After breakfast I went to the front desk to see if they could speak with the guests above us about keeping to noise down the next morning. When the clerk looked into this, she immediately apologized and told us that they were the unit owners and she could not make that request. She did however, ask me to hold on and she quickly went to her records and told me that she could move us to another room. I was quite pleased with this (I didn't even have to ask) and within a few minutes I had new keys. When we went to the new room with our things (the desk clerk had offered help, but I declined) our jaws dropped. We had been moved into a luxury one bedroom suite, complete with full kitchen, fireplace, deck and large Jacuzzi tub. The rest of our weekend was fantastic and we left with the knowledge that superb customer service is alive and thriving at the Delta Grandview.
