Great hotel. Great staff

Posted Jul 20, 2014
This hotel exceeded our expectations by far. We made reservations online and were a little nervous about being charged extra fees (we've had this happen before with other hotels) when we actually checked in but everything went great, there were no hidden fees, our room was truly nice, roomy, and had an awesome view of the beach. Breakfast was included with our stay and everyone thought the good was great... Even better than a couple of restaurants we visited on the beach. We will definitely be back!

Restaurant -Bar

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: Front desk was realy nice. Jaime is always helpful and Alfredo-nice staff to chat with and get info.
Cons: Staff in restaurant and bar.
Location: Fishing,shopping, museum to see.
Wait staff in the restaurant and bar were rude at times. Basically had to beg for coffee and to get a glass of water was a major acomplishment. The woman especailly wasnt veru accomodating. The one exception was a young man named Jean Pierre-he was awesome. Pleasant with a smile always even when busy. My husband and I always tipped and tipped well so I am unsure of the cause of the poor service,

Hotel Irma is a great value

Posted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Location, inclusive breakfast, pools
Cons: Beds were a little hard, but that's a personal preference.
Location: The location is close to Downtown. Walking distance to everything including water taxis, shopping, Fisherman's Wharf, and a ton of restaurant.
Hotel Irma is a great value hotel in a perfect location. The Hotel is close to Downtown with all the shops and restaurants close by. It is located on a beach, but just walking over the hill is Playa la Ropa which is an even better beach! The rooms were small, but who stays in the room? The two pools, one an infinity pool, were excellent. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Hotel Irma and would stay there again if we return to Zihuatenejo.

Amazing views! Great location!

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Location: The location was great. The pool with views of the bay was right there. The beach was down the stairs. The town of Zihua was steps away!
It was such a great experience. Everyone, staff and guests, were so friendly! The food and drinks were wonderful, I had the fish tacos on the last day and I am still dreaming about them. Can't wait to return.

Perfect location

Posted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: Location, view, service
Hotel Irma sits in a perfect location overlooking Playa Madera. It is midway between the downtown (Central) and Playa La Ropa, which means you can walk everywhere. There are numerous excellent restaurant choices nearby as a result. The Hotel is well maintained and the staff helpful and responsive. The views of Zihua harbor, particularly at sunset and night, are lovely. You get great breezes even on the hottest days. We have bought the American plan that provides breakfast and been very pleased by the quality of food and range of choices. Importantly, they serve breakfast till noon. Tip, coffee is free before 8AM but they charge you after that in case you need some prior to breakfast. Overall, a great value.

Hotel Irma Stay

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The staff were completely friendly, professional and very helpful with everything. Most spoke some English too, which helped some.
Cons: The air conditioner in our room was very noisy. More hangers were needed in the room and we asked several times for them, but they never showed up.
Location: The area is called La Madera. The Hotel sits above the beach with several little restaurants for drinks and food.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Irma for one week. We had booked an ocean view room with two beds and upon arrival were informed that our room had broken water pipes and since it was on a Saturday, they wouldn't be fixed until Monday. Packing and unpacking and moving is not what vacations are about. In hind sight, we should have just stayed put in the interior room, which was bigger with a less noisy air conditioner. We were subsidized for each day our of our view room with a $12 voucher to be used in the restaurant. We used it for 2 for one happy hour margaritas. The ocean view room had a really lovely view, but at sunset it was too hot to sit out and enjoy.

Hotel Irma Vacation

Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Staff, "Old World Charm", View, Food, Character.
Cons: Management participation, better room accomadations, room WIFI, reservation system.
Location: Food, shopping, beach, fishing, relaxation, swim.
Upon arrival our reserved Ocean View Room with king bed was not available as resort was having construction problems, really overbooked, be honest!!! Assigned a three double bed room in the middle of the hotel, with no idea when view room available. Management was not available and never seen to help resolve any problems. Hotel staff on the other hand was wonderfully polite and professional in their tasks. Better accomadations and WIFI in the rooms would have made our stay more in line of our expectations from the advertisement provided by expedia and Hotel Irma. Hotel Irma is "Old World Charm" with lots of charm but steps to the rooms.

Irma is still first class all the way

Posted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Such a perfect view of Zihuatenejo bay
We had booked for an Ocean View for 2 night but when they arrived they could not accommodate us due to some maintenance issues. So they paid for us to stay the nights in a more expensive sister hotel with an ocean view. Thank you to the excellent staff who care about their customer's desires. First class all the way!

Nice overall hotel

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Very good and fairly priced restaurant, pool and views
Cons: Room AC didn't work properly (no temp control); TV set awkwardly located on top of the closet; bath sink located in the room instead of bathroom
Location: Didn't stay long enough but it seemed centrally located.
Nice hotel, great views, very good restaurant. Room was small and not very well appointed.
