The hotel itself is in an excellent location and with a little TLC and staff motivation could actually be an excellent choice. Bedding was not changed until this was challenged at reception nor were the rooms serviced. The swimming pool is filthy and has green algae and stones on the bottom. A good spring clean is required throughout the hotel. The expense required to bring this place up to a good standard is minimal. Locally there are several reasonably priced restaurants, an atm, a 7/11, and the beach is only a short walk away.

Friendly Staff, Friendly Location, Beautiful Beach

My wife and I were on our first Thailand trip and arrived after long flights / coach / bus journies. We received a lovely welcome from the Manager, who spoke good English, and his team (who didn't but spoke enough). The room had everything we wanted and we had a lovely 4 night stay over the New Year weekend. The only concern was having to take a taxi to get into Ao Nang or Krabi town but we found a motor cycle rental place across the road which for 300 bahts a day was excellent value - and great fun. With really quiet roads around this part of Krabi, we felt very safe on the road. There were enough good eating places and touristy shops locally to keep us occupied. The beach "shared with the Sheraton" was breathtaking.... On the food side, the breakfast was really nice and as it was buffet we could have as much as we wanted - which we appreciated. We stayed in 3 other places in Ao Nang and Krabi Town after Check Inn and none were as good....
