Wonderful relaxing stay in a luxury resortPosted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: Lovely Secluded Lodge and attentive staff
Cons: A few problems with the internet after a recent storm but this was fixed by the time we left.
Location: See main comments - the Mangrove tour is highly recommended and so is the Cable Car but be aware the Sky Bridge is closed.
We stayed at the Seri Chenang for a few days to break up a long journey and found it to be the ideal place. The Lodges are all well appointed, large and secluded. There is a decent sized pool in which to relax and a Spa. The food was lovely, but the main feature was the staff who were all very attentive and keen to pander to our every wish. The resort doesn't sell alcohol but are happy to serve your own if you buy some at the local Duty Free stores, but the fruit cocktails were wonderfully refreshing and we didn't miss drinking for a few days. The hotel isn't on the beach, but is close by and offer free transport there as well as to and from the airport and the local town. More distant journeys can be handled too at reasonable costs. Take the tour through the mangroves and don't miss the Cable Car but be aware the Sky Bridge on all the photos of Langkawi is closed for rebuilding and may not open again until 2015.

Big spacious room and excellent servicePosted Feb 10, 2014
Treated to the big studio villa on offer. Big space with luxurious bath tub, tv, coffee maker and open air rain shower. All the ingredients for a romantic honeymoon. Service first class with free transport from hotel readily available for most excursions. Small privacy issue with toilet however.

Luxury and lovely stayPosted Jan 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Let's start with the only bad point, there is no see view. You will not miss it since the staff is just great and will provide even more that you need. The villas are lovely, we had a tour of them, and they have super bed and all the things you need. The pool is big enough for your daily refreshing swim. The food is great and the choice of breakfast is outstanding. You have the possibilities to visit the island using the complementary shuttle to the beaches and in case you need they will organize all the tours you require. Bikes are available for every guest and you can use them to go to the restaurants in Chenang, where you can also go with 20 minutes walk. So it was just amazing stay and a pity to leave.

Excellent service staff and beautiful villa!Posted Dec 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Loved the room and the villa we stayed in, Rumah Trengganu came with the private pool thus we loved it even more. Loved the tea time snacks n their yummy tea. The room service menu is a bit limited in terms of catering to a vegetarian diet. The food delivered to us for dinner was a bit cold too. Would have loved to have the microwave oven in our villa. Roof top cafe is nice but a lot of stairs thus not that elderly friendly. Amazing service staff who are always bubbly to serve us. Thank you Encik Shamsol, Azmil, Aishah and of course Farhana. We miss you Farhana!!! Thanks for making us feel like home. And thanks Abg Azmil for arranging the cakes, mum loved it. Overall, amazing and will come back to try other villas.
