Friendly service

The hotel is simple but suitable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean but it lacked air conditioning. This would have been appreciated as the weather was very warm. It provided en suite facilities which was good but the shower needed improvements. The cubical was small and the doors did not close easily. In addition, the shower head support was broken. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our one night stop over.

Brit hotel in Orleans

Don't assume from its name that the manager can speak any English. The hotel is on an industrial estate and should be considered a commercial hotel. The rooms are very basic: comfortable enough and with a good TV, but with no kettle or frig or supplies. When I asked if I could have a cup of coffee, it was readily supplied - at a charge of 4 euros. The price given outside the hotel and on the door of your room bears no relation to what you are actually charged. When I protested about this I was told they were the winter rates. So why leave them in place? Equally, the price you are quoted turns out to be exclusive of tax and breakfast. At least the breakfast (continental) was good.
