Excellent hotel - Perfect for the 02 Arena

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: proximity to the Tube Station
Cons: n/a
Location: One stop to the 02, would also be good for events at the Olympic park.
Very Friendly staff, closeness to Tube station was brilliant it is on the same street as the station about a 1 minute walk up the road. Bonus was that the continental breakfast included some hot food and I had lovely sausage sandwiches both days of my stay. Air conditioning in the room was very effective and bar prices amazing good for London (well at least for draft lager not sure how everything else faired) One tube stop to the 02 in the opposite direction to most of the crowd so perfect if you are going to an event in the 02. Will definately be back next year for the ATP finals.

A night away to see Thunder at the O2

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: comfort of bed and very spacious shower
Cons: Cant think of anything
Location: the O2 is just a few minutes away on the underground and the hotel is very close to the london Docklands and Canary Warf
My wife and I were visiting the Brooklyn Bowl (within the O2 complex) after winning tickets to an invitation only one off gig for our favourite band Thunder. We booked this hotel due to its close proximity to the O2. We were both very impressed with the close proximity to the O2 as well as the very reasonable price. The Channing town underground is just 10 mins walk away. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the fact the price included breakfast was also a surprise. The food was very good quality with plenty of choice. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone.

Could do better

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: it was very clean
Cons: Customer service, pride in work, motivated staff etc etc This all comes from the management though doesn't it?
Location: Great location for DLR & Jubilee line
Whether it was the fault of Expedia or the hotel, we were past caring to find out but perhaps both could do with better communication. Yes, I did change my booking days before and had another confirmation email but unfortunately the hotel weren't aware. No room was booked in my name - this took 5 mins to figure out. No matter there were plenty of rooms available we were eventually told, this meant completing another booking and lodging my card (slightly nervous at this point!) But what about a room with a sofa bed? That was apparently ok too as I'm assured they all have one (there were 3 of us at the desk, so double confirmation that we needed it) Activating the room card was surprisingly problematic - the 2 girls on the desk had no clue how to do it, surely we weren't the first guests to need one???? Note to reception manager: if they're in training, where was the trainer? On our way out to dinner we asked if our sofa bed could be made up and could we have towels for three people - no problem was the reply & I even saw the girl write it down. Upon our return 3 hours later, guess what? No sofa bed and no extra towels, aforementioned receptionist had gone home. My husband managed to prise a duvet and a couple of pillows from I'm guessing the night porter who insisted our room had been booked for one person & if we didn't believe him he could look at the screen! So with a towel as a make do sheet we eventually settled down for the night. Could go on but there's not enough space

this is our second visit in a family room this year, once again everyone was very pleasant and there was plenty to eat at the free breakfast, was a little disappointed they did not have croissants as they were so good last time! stayed again for 2 days

Nice hotel to stay at for a concert

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Stayed due to a concert at the O2. The room was a really good size, but we were given the disabled room. Bed was really comfortable, only issue was a make up stain we had on the sheets. Then there's the buffet breakfast, it was a decent selection but the day we stayed a few of the sausages were pink in the middle, which completely put me off breakfast. Overall, nice hotel for a one night stay.

Very handy for tube to London

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: position
Cons: found the bed a little uncomfortable but would not put me off staying there again, stayed 2 nights.
Location: visiting London to site see and pick up son who lives in London
The hotel was well placed for trips to London and the staff and breakfast were excellent. The Italian restaurant next door was ok but for my money would make the journey into London far better choice.

Hotel was quite good.

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: Breakfast, location, god sized shower.
Cons: Seems a bit run down, but nothing too bad.
Location: Nice restaurant just next door.
Location is nice and close to the Subway and train station. Breakfast in the morning was good to get, not a massive selection, but enough to fill the stomach!
