It's good for long stay because there is a kitchen. If there were a pool and a training room, that would be nicer.

Poor excuse for a hotel

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: See above.
Front desk person was rude and unprofessional. Guests have to get clean towels by bringing the wet ones to the front desk. Dog in next room barked much of the night. I've stayed in better hotels for less money. Quite a disappointing experience. Breakfast was a bag of instant oatmeal.

Extended stay no way.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
At check, we were told that there was no maid service. We did get upgraded from a queen bed to king size. We then met another traveler who was caring some cups and a bottle of champagne. She stated that there was no ice maxhine. You have to make your own ice. The room was warm because the air conditioning unit was right next to the bed. There was barely enough room between the unit and the bed for me to walk. I tried to turn on the tv but the remote control batteries were dead. There were no dishes or pans of any kind. There were signs about asking for them at the front desk. Really. A few things would have been great. No toiletries, no coffee maker, no phone to call the front desk. The bed was rock hard. The room was no smoking but you have to wall through a smoke filled hallway. Yuck. For breakfasy, it was grab and go. Apples, oranges, three kind of store wrapped muffins, oatmeal packets without any containers, granola bars, coffee and hot water but no juice or other drinks. What a very disappointing stay. What would happen if we stayed longer. Oh they allow pets but don't put them all.in one section.

Very comfortable stay.

This place is very close to major shopping centers, a mall, restaurants, groceries stores, and about 10 minutes away to the nearest beach. Surrounding area was nice and very comfortable. The kitchen and full size fridge help out a lot to save all our leftover we had eating out. It nice it have a kitchen to store milk, water, and all our healthy snack that help eliminate my family eating a lot of junk food. The TV was missing the remote control but it was an LG TV, which you can control if you have an LG phone. Will stay there again.

Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms need to be updated and service needs improving.
Location: Close to the beach and shopping areas.
The room didn't look anything like the pictures. The kitchen area looked outdated and the amenities looked dated as well. The size of the room also appeared smaller than what was shown on the picture. There was no sitting area to speak of ... just two counter stools and one desk chair. The bed, however, was comfortable. The floors and tub was marred. If you stay more than one week, you get your room cleaned. Otherwise, you are responsible for taking out the trash etc.

Close to Torrance Shopping and Business Center

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: It is tucked away from everything on a quiet street. It is tucked away from the traffic of Hawthorne Blvd.
Cons: At this particular Extended Stay America, I would have liked toilets that were a little higher up as I've seen at other Extended Stay America's.
Location: This hotel is very close to a large residential area of Torrance, and set farther away from the main traffic thoroughfare.
This is a very large Extended Stay America complex. Families might like this complex better than other Extended Stay America's in the South Bay, since it is closer to a residential area with schools. It is very quiet and peaceful.

Very nice location, close to major shopping mall.

Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: The room includes a mini kitchen, which is stocked with a few bare necessities.
Cons: The "Mini Breakfast" is a joke. This place has no lobby, or place to sit. Breakfast area the size of a broom closet. A Granola bar breakfast.
Location: Macy's
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room. If you're staying multiple nights, the room service policy is very odd, since they charge you extra for it. There is no lobby or break room, so this is no place for business travelers.

Uncomfortable Room

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: It was nice having a kitchen to warm up leftovers from restaurants and keep our own selected foods in.
Cons: Offer a better breakfast. Buy more comfortable "quiet" beds. It would be nice if you had an outside area where one could sit and read a book or visit.
Location: The location was great. We both have family in many directions nearby so it was very convenient.
The air conditioning unit was so close to the bed you couldn't even get into the bed without it rubbing/cutting into your leg. There was plenty of room for it to be placed under the window of the living room area but they installed it under the window next to the bed. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we've ever slept in. We woke up with aching backs each morning. But, the worst part about it was that it creeked loudly every time one of us rolled over. It sounded like the bed was going to break apart!!! Never in my life have a had a worse nights sleep at a hotel. The "breakfast" they claim they serve on the Expedia website is nothing more than packaged muffins and snack bars. Very disappointing!
