Seminar OutingPosted Sep 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was one of the worst hotel stays I have endured. I checked in at about midnight. I had to ring a bell to enter and waited about 5 minutes for the desk person to arrive to let me in. There were people hanging out in the parking lot drinking and talking so I didn't feel extremely safe. After arriving in the room I found I had no bath towels, only 3 face towels. Also, the toilet paper roll on the holder was half gone. It was obvious it was the same roll of toilet paper from the person in the room before me. Lastly, on the bathroom counter was some red substance that had dried on the counter. I f I had not arrived so late and had to get up early in the morning I would have left. This stay has definitely made a lasting impression with me of Extended Stay as I will never again stay at this chain. It also makes me wonder about the hotels you promote.

This was our first stay at Extended Stay of America. The location was great and the room was quiet and clean, I would stay there again.

Not pet friendly and rude GMPosted Sep 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
I checked i to this hotel for 4 nights. I arrived and checked in. No problem. The second day i am returning withy boxer ( 4yrs old ). The GM scolds me as i am entering the building. Does identify herself as an employee, and begins to ask me ehat room am i in? I say mon of your concern. She says it is my concern, i am the manager. After calming the situation down, i am charged another $25 a day for my dog, whixh was not allowed bu the way. Only cat sized dogs are allowed, under 25 lbs. plus i was charged 12% tax on my dog. Actually chsrged my dog tax! The GM BLAMED ME FOR NOT PROPERLY CHECKING ME IN DAYS BEFORE, NLAMED ME FOR THE LATE NIGHT LAXK OF SYSTEMS AND CONTROLS. IT WAS UNCOMFRTABLE AND DEFINITELY NOT HOSPITABLE. Never stay there, is my advice.

Smelly smelly smelly!Posted Sep 9, 2013
Ugh!!! Asked front desk attendant to provide air freshener. He came and spray a liquid around the carpet which accomplished nothing. Every time we entered the room our sinuses would sting and run.

Nice roomPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
Cons: Hallways and rooms need to be properly aired out. Or have a designated floor just for the smokers. Keep smokers fully seperated from non smokers.
Location: Location is excellent. Everything is close by.
Pros: clean room, comfortable bed, a/c kept the room nice and cold. Sound proof walls, quiet hotel, and friendly staff. CONS: MAJOR CIGARETTE SMELL IN THE HALLWAYS. The smell was so bad it was coming into the room. We had to run the ac full blast and put a towel under the door. We found out the staff is not available 24 hours when we went to complain about the smell. If you stay here be aware of this, if you have astma or allergies find somewhere else to stay.

Close to shopping mall & row of restarauntsPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was a short, yet very comfortable stay. Unfortunately, all their non-smoking rooms were sold out but the smoking room I had wasn't bad. Perhaps that's because they recently renovated. Nonetheless, it was very clean & comfortable.

Nice hotel a little sparsePosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: The hotel was quiet. Nice location in Torrance.
Cons: Some of the materials chosen for interiors have a very utilitarian feel, which is fine. The hallways tend to have a somewhat unpleasant smell.
Location: Right in the center of Torrance. Lots of places to eat and shop. Location is not too far from the beach as long as you have a car.
We had a good 3 night stay in this hotel. It is centrally located in the Torrance area, practically across the street from the Del Amo Fashion Center.

Has All of the Amenities without the GlitzPosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
If you are looking for a good place to stay in a good neighborhood and are willing to forgo daily room service you may want to consider this hotel. Beds are okay but firm. There is no on-site restaurant but many are close with a long hike or a short drive.
