The first thing we noticed when stepping into the hotel room was that it REEKED like an uncleaned public bathroom. The smell was overpowering, and after doing a little investigation, we realized that the air coming out of the air conditioning unit was particularly vulgar. I don’t know what happened inside those vents, but I have genuinely never been to a hotel, nevertheless a place in America, that smelled this disgusting. The smell was the equivalent of walking straight into a sewer but being forced there to sleep all night. Some of the provided soaps such as the body wash and shampoo also smelled like the entire room, which is absolutely disgusting. Otherwise, the room was mediocre, and some things such as the light was falling apart but still usable and the shower system was nonsensical. The shuttle also arrived very slow in the morning.

The hotel was a convenient walk from the airport which is what I wanted. The staff was very helpful, my room was clean and I was impressed with how much sound is kept out from the arriving airplanes to the airport. You can't hear them at all!

My stay at the Sonesta was terrible. It was basically just a place to sleep and nothing more. The pool and fitness center was under construction and so was most of the rest of the hotel. Their deposit fee was insane ($200 per night) and so was the parking fee ($25 a day unless you want in and out privileges then its $50 a day). I had to plan my entire vacation around when we were going to and from our hotel so I could try to avoid paying the least amount of fees as possible. On the way to and from the parking garage was at least 2 piles of poop on the sidewalk. The last thing ill mention is that they have literally no where nice for smokers to sit. I understand not wanting smoking in the hotel but they should accommodate their smoker guests just as much as they accommodate their non-smoker guests. Ultimately I would never book at the Sonesta again.
