Across the street from the landing good location

Posted Aug 20, 2014
It was a good stay. Room had some maintenance issues with toilet paper bracket falling off wall and chair almost collapsed when I sat in it. If a maintenance man spent 15 minutes in that room nothing would be worth complaining about.

If you are just looking for a cheap place to crash

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Stayed for three nights. Room smelled poorly and the TV seemed to be broken. When I mentioned it to the front desk when I was checking out, he said he forgot to tell me I had to change a setting on the actual TV. I didn't complain about it during my stay because I wasn't really in the room very much. Would have been nice to know though. Bathtub drain was extremely rusted. Since I am a guy in my thirties and was alone, the cheapness of the room outweighed the problems. I can sleep almost anywhere. I would stay there again only if the price remained cheap and I wasn't planning on staying in my room for very long.

For the Most Resilient or Desperate

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly and seem to try as best they can, including picking up trash and sweeping the parking lot.
Cons: Where to start would be the question, maybe a bulldozer?
Location: Good location, near beach, marina, convention center, downtown restaurants.
The facility is old and tired, so creaking beds and wobbly falling down furniture can't bother you. Nor can the unusual smells, least offensive of which will be the stale smell of often smoked in rooms, regardless of a no-smoking label. But the challenge will really be in the mix of people that will be sharing the facility with you. Loud talking and arguments travel easily through thin walls, jolting explosive noises in the middle of the night, so light sleepers should bring a book or two to read instead of sleep.

Marginal hotel, good location

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: bathtub shower was in poor condition; TV was strange and needed to be manually set in order of the remote to work every time you turned it on.
Location: good central location
It was a very busy weekend with few choices available, so I grabbed the last room available. It was ok, but the hotel was run down but adequate.

Avoid this hotel

Posted Jul 15, 2014
The best thing about this hotel was that it was the room was actually clean. There is little parking, it is right on a busy street with flood lights glaring into your room. Many of the clientele were questionable. Paid for 3 nights, only stayed two.

Run down, close to convention center

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: It was within walking distance to the convention center, Fisherman's Village, and local restaurants. Beds average comfort. Pool. Low cost.
Cons: Room repair, food, employees parking in designated spots in the back instead of the front block driving areas.
Location: In Long Beach with a 10 minute walk to the Long Beach Convention Center and 15 minute walk to Fisherman's village. Independent restaurants.
Room had many dirty features: black finger marks on curtains and walls, bathtub had holes where faucets had been changed and moved. Parking limited and employees parked in non designated parking in the front parking lot blocking in prime parking spots even after manager had been notified. Breakfast was packaged danishes, cereal, milk lift out in a pitcher on the counter not sitting in ice, limited fruit, and juice if the machine worked. If a lot of people ate before you, everything was picked over and not refilled. I was with a group with 6 rooms and several rooms were like mine. Bar across the street played loud music until late, and we could hear a group of 6 men talking loudly on the street from 3 floors up.

The bathroom had used towels and soap with dirty wrappers as if someone had used the room before us checking in!
