Hidden Gem in the Gran Vía avenuePosted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Location, facilities and staff.
Location: Go anywhere around it.
We stayed for more than one week. Location: Excellent. Entrance: no bellboy to help and no platform for rolling luggage (you must lift it up by your own) Reception desk: some times interns are in charge and not well versed in hospitality details (mile nails). Most reception staff is well trained about the city attractions and are very pleasant (they also make concierge tasks per your request). Elevators: Only two for the whole building and for a four guests with one luggage. Decorations: The thematic experience with poems and words everywhere added a unique feature. The colors of the walls and the hallways red carpet were inviting. Original architecture details are in place (some corridors doors from olde Madrid can still be seen as well as the old elevator). Bedroom: good location in a corner with wide windows and a wide balcony (the room was not one of those with a terrace). Bathroom was also big and well separated from the room includes tub, shower room and washing room with modern elements. Includes rolling sofa and feet rest bench. Closet is relatively small (only for one luggage) Bed and linens: huge bed, white linens of 400, good towels of all sizes, some days perfectly white, other days, old worn white. Views: was toward the side off the Gran Via (more quiet although interesting). Breakfast: continental and varied (what would be needed for a walk during the whole morning). Restaurant and lounge: +A1, René and Fabio very, professional, friendly and accommodating.

City BreakPosted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Bed was on wheels and moved about a lot.
Location: Centrally located and easy walking to Parque Retiro, Art Museum and also Gran Via etc.
Decided to stay a couple of days in Madrid coming back from Seville. Great hotel in a very good central location. Good food and breakfast. East check in and very helpful staff. Always taxis outside or nearby for transport to and from the airport. Didn't get to the roof bar unfortunately but maybe next time....there are a lot of similar hotels nearby.

Boutiique FeelPosted Mar 22, 2015
Cons: The roof top was closed due to maintenance. Too bad. May have enjoyed that a bit. Of course we were so busy might not really have had time to enjoy it
Location: Perfect location. Near everything.
Love the location of this hotel on the Gran Via as well as the boutique feel of this hotel. Love a boutique hotel better than large chain hotels. This one had it all. Comfort, location, style, service. The staff was very accomodating and the price was right. Not disappointing at all. Would definitely reserve at this hotel again...

Outstanding location for the price.Posted Mar 21, 2015
Walking distance to the Prado Museum as well as dozens of food places and shopping. One block away from Metro Stations. So location is a big plus and it is also a very good hotel with very good installations and amenities. Breakfast is limited but high quality and staff is nicer than common for Europe.

Very helpful staffPosted Mar 11, 2015
The front desk was very helpful. They were able to communicate with me in English. They understood that my wife and I were very tired from the overnight flight from Chicago and went out of their way to get us a room and help us deal with some problems I was having with the set up of my wifi. They were knowledgable about the area and assisted us with dinner plans. I give them a thumbs up.
