Americas Best Value Inn

Found bathroom with shower not cleaned - hair on the shower walls. Stairwell was kind of nasty, but it was washed down during our stay. Breakfast was ok, but seemed to run out of items, not kept up well.

The toilet cycled every 20 minutes, the chair was broken, and the door locking chain was missing a screw to hold it in place. There were no tea or coffee supplies, there was no radio or alarm, and the mattresses were old and sloped down to the middle. I would expect this of a cheap hotel. But for $111.54 a night, I was very disappointed.

Where do I start? First, we found shell casings behind the bed. trash on the floor. plaster falling off the bathroom walls and around tub. porcelain falling off the tub surfaces. tables in the lobby were dirty. Several rooms looked like they had been broken into. Room locks didn't work. Day staff complaining about night staff to customers. Afraid to eat breakfast there however, my boyfriend had some orange juice and it tasted like tang. Broken bench in hotel lobby. Rodents outside our hotel room. Screwed up on our reservation. Had to move us to a second room because the key wouldn't work on the first room. Wheel chair ramp needs replaced, chunk of concrete out of it making it unsafe. Rooms not wheelchair accessible because of lip in doorway. Only one way out in event of fire. We will never stay there again. Was told by a local resident that there is a lot criminal that takes place there or in the area as well as prostitution. The one in Hays, KS is a thousand times better than this one. The only reason we went ahead and stayed was because it was late and we were tired, but never again will we stay there. My cat didn't like it either. I will never expose myself or my pet to this place again.

Nasty place would not recommend this place at all.

I would never stay here again. The room was dirty the bedding had holes in it.

This poorly maintained motel has issues with the condition (holes in wall, towel rack torn down, peeling paint, and overflowing toilet), as well as cleanliness(floor not vacuumed, counters very dirty, tub dirty).

I have never stayed at a "motel" where my kids feet turned black from walking on the carpet! Horrible room condition... Nice service desk person,
