Central to beaches, restaurants, everything.Posted Sep 8, 2014
Right in the middle of everything. Couldn't be closer. New renovations make this place an incredible deal. Staff went above and beyond. Clean, safe, charming, affordable, 50 yards from the sand. Couldn't be happier. I'll stay here every time from now on. Breakfast was nice, front desk staff offered me an upgrade for free when I arrived, allowing me to have one of the newly renovated rooms. Brand new bed, great view from the window, cold air conditioning. Satellite tv allowed me yo watch football games when in the room. The front porch of the hotel is great. It sits right on the sidewalk, so if you like people watching, you'll love it. There's a convenience store right next door that's open late and has beer, toothpaste, whatever you need. Super friendly, super clean, amazingly convenient hotel. Its literally less than 1 block to the ocean, and there are tons of restaurants surrounding it in every direction. Save money, save time, save yourself some walking distance and give this place a shot. Its not brand new, but it's very well kept and clean. I couldn't have been happier.

Nice hotel in the heart of South BeachPosted Aug 23, 2014
Good, basic, no frills. The wifi is a bonus. Close to shops and the beach.

Good location - horrible staff memberPosted Jun 24, 2014
The only positve about the hotel is the location. The weekday 3rd shift staff member was very unprofessional and I was completely apalled at his behavior! This employee has ruined my experience at the hotel and will make sure that I do not recommend Princess Ann to anyone.

FacilitiesPosted Jun 23, 2014
I didn't like this hotel because the facilities are very old and need to rebuild. The musty smell of old carpets was heavy.

Great location, OK roomsPosted May 9, 2014
Pros: Location, style and morning staff
Cons: More strict cleanness
Location: Swim, beach front walk, pubs, bars, shopping, grocery shopping, car rentals, jet ski rentals
We enjoyed our stay there, when we first got there the washrooms did not look like it was very well cleaned. When we raised that with the management, the lady said its an old hotel and we shouldn't complain but later she saw what we meant and was pretty nice after. So I would recommend for management to keep an eye on their cleaning staff. On the other hand, the morning staff can hook you up beach towels and umbrella ($20 from the store for umbrella and $50 if you were to rent on the beach) so if you are traveling on a budget def. ask the lady in the morning for ways to get cheaper stuff. The breakfast is muffin and juice, good enough. Loud air conditioners so bring earplugs if you cant handle the noise. Take the 150 Miami airport flyer $3 and you will be dropped off two blocks from the hotel, take the same bus when you leave Decent hotel after all, you get what you pay for

Decent budget HotelPosted Apr 30, 2014
Cons: Rooms a little cleaner.
Location: very close to the beach, and near many tourist attractions
The staff are friendly and there is someone who sits at the front dest 24 hours. There is a free continental breakfast in the lobby every morning, including coffee, juice, cereal, toast, muffins, and few other things. Its one block in from ocean drive so it is much quieter at night because it is not near any clubs. There is a convenience store right next door, which is very convenient. They also provide beach towels at the front desk, which is a plus.

Would stay againPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Proximity to beach, great staff, reasonable rate
My wife and I stayed for an extended long weekend. We were looking for sun and some shopping, so we looked for a place to stay based on minimizing costs and proximity to beach / shopping. As others have reported, the location of this place is great - very close to the beach and within walking of anything we wanted. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are not glamorous, but we only slept there. They were clean, but simply outdated.

bargain but not beautifulPosted Feb 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
It's a bit worn out but a good value. Nice to have a fantastic location and a refrigerator in my nice big room. I've stayed here before and remember it being a little better, I don't remember the mattress being wrapped in plastic under the sheets - not uncomfortable but odd.
