We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Chandler Hotel. The bedroom was well presented very quiet and beautifully clean. We particularly enjoyed having cocktails in the hotel bar.

Pros: Location, Cleanliness
Location: Very close to Madison Square Park and the Flatiron building as well as the Empire State building
The hotel was clean and quiet and in a great location. The staff was very helpful for the most part except for one of the ladies at the front desk. She was rude and short when I asked her questions. The only reason I booked this hotel was because it was a VIP hotel. We were supposed to get an upgrade in the room and check out at 2:00pm. Before we arrived we received an email saying that the upgrade was not available due to the hotel being booked but we were guaranteed a 2:00 check out. When I asked about this the lady acted like she had no clue what I was talking about and said that they never did 2:00 check out and 1:00 was the latest but she couldn't confirm that until 9 or 10 the next morning. She was rude. She said that was an expedia thing and had nothing to do with the hotel. I'm not sure what the point is of booking the expedia VIP hotels if they don't honor the perks. The bellmen were extremely helpful and the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was great!

Pros: Free tea and coffee all day
Our first visit to NY, and I would highly recommend this hotel,all the main attractions very close by within walking distance,staff very helpful from time of arrival to departure ,can't do enough for you, concierge really helpful booked our return shuttle back to NY ,nothing a problem.

Quaint hotel in midtown

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The rooms are small, but well furnished and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff was excellent except for the bartender in the hotel bar. Both of the concierges were friendly and helpful along with the front desk staff. Overall a great visit.

The location is not great. It is somewhat seedy. The bathroom is tiny, and there is barely enough room over the sink and mirror to get ready. The workout facility also is extremely small. Room service ends at 10 pm during the week and 9 pm on Sunday. If you get in late and have not eaten, cross room service off your list. When I was there, one of the two elevators was broken, which only added to my unfavorable experience.
