Just got back from Riu in Ocho Rios. The hotel is beautiful, right on the beach. We had a junior suite with beach views and pool view. The room was very comfortable and bigger than expected. As far as the restaurants are concerned, we didn't try any of them-lines were too long to get reservations. Ate at the buffet-which was very good. Alot to offer. Also try the Jerk Shack ( I think that's the name) its right on the beach. The shows were awesome w/some very talented dancers. After the shows they interact with the audience to keep the party going. Had a great time at the beach party. Had a steel band and fire show.

This resort was an adult only resort with fabulous entertainment. I feel the entertainment was the best part! The ENT staff worked constantly to make you laugh and "not bored". There was a beach but very small! i like to take walks in the morning on the beach but this one wasn't even long enough to do that. The food was fabulous, make sure you bring pants and closed toed shoes (even though it's hot) otherwise you won't be able to get in some of the restaurants. Also this resort has a bunch of cats hanging out (I love cats so I was fine with it) also I don't think it would be a problem if you are allergic because they mostly mind their own business unless you come up to them. You can use American $ here. I would recommend this resort. 4/5

The hotel is located just a short drive from downtown Ocho Rios along a quiet, private beach. For the most part the staff were very accommodating, but at times were begrudging about it (there was no key for the safe in my room. When I asked for a room with a key it seemed to be an imposition based on the reaction. I was ultimately given a different room with a key for the safe but only after a bit of attitude. Also, the phone in the room doesn't make outgoing calls. They seemed annoyed any time I asked to use the phone for local calls)
This hotel doesn't often have buffet mealtimes (only twice while we were there) but the a la cart menu was decent, and covered most of the basics.
The beach was very clean with white-ish sands, but the chairs could use a power washing; lay a towel over it and good to go. The room was also very clean aside from a few ants here and there, but they get in our house at home too so it wasn't a big deal.
Overall a nice place that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet and relaxing stay while being close to many tourist attractions.

This was our second stay at couples san souci and it was wonderful again. It is a relatively small resort with some of the most beautiful mature tropical gardens that I have ever seen. The rooms are a little dated but are comfortable, have nice views, great house keeping and turn-down service. There are lots of steep stone steps through the gardens that could be difficult if you have bad knees but are great for exercise. The breakfasts are great and the restaurants are good. On Fridays they go all out with a wonderful dinner on the grass lawn near the beach with a wide assortment of foods and special entertainment. The Martini Bar is open from 5pm to 9pm. There is entertainment and dancing most every night on an open terrace. The staff are very friendly and work hard to please you. There is an enforced no tipping policy but we tipped our house keeping lady each day and a few special people in private on our last day there. The beach is small but nice. They have a nude beach but you must be totally nude therefore some people did not go there. Snorkeling is not very good off the beach unless you are an experienced snorkeler and know were to go. They offer free scuba diving and snorkeling from the boat which is very nice. Water depths are 40 to 90 feet. There is a ship wreck that you can penetrate. Dive boat leaves at 9am and returns around 10:15am so I could spend the rest of the day with my wife. Very relaxing, will return.

Quick trip to clear my head. Mystic was perfect. Quiet , clean , central - the hotel allows you to do as you please. Breakfast was great and so was the staff. Pool clean and chairs available.
Cable package needs ALOT of improvement and so does wifi but I went to sleep and chill so that wasn't too bad for me
