Disappointed

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: The people were very nice even down to housekeeping staff we encountered. It room was nice, the pool was nice, location perfect.
Cons: The training of their front desk clerks to have knowledge of their system. This is the one excuse I heard over & over they don't understand it
Location: Plenty of stores, restaurants nearby
We booked this hotel under hidden rates so didn't know the hotel till after completion. We arrived the front desk girls were helpful and friendly. Parking was hard to find but when we arrived at our room it was beautiful! The room was big, clean. The next morning I discovered that they had charged my card twice after it was already paid for thru Expedia. I went to the front desk to have this fixed. Jon said he had it taken care off that there was a credit and it should fall off and that they would remove my card so it wouldn't get charged again at departure. However, when we returned home I looked and not only was there not a credit there was another room charge so now we are up to three unauthorized charges on our account. I have called for 3 days straight to have this fixed and keep getting the run around and voicemails. So what was a wonderful stay at a decent hotel has become a headache with these charges and unfortunately overshadows all the rest. Which is truly sad.

Nice Room, Terrible Beds

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Clean, large rooms, mini-fridge, microwave, location
Cons: THE BEDS!!! Also, mini-fridge was not all that cold.
Location: On International Drive near all the restaurants, Ripley's Believe it Or Not, near the Convention Center, etc.
Everything was great about our stay, except for the sleep number beds. They were so uncomfortable, it was like sleeping on a board with a thin pillow on top. We adjusted them like crazy, but no matter what they were not comfortable. It's sad because it's in a great location, great price, very clean, large room, etc., but I wouldn't stay there again because a comfortable night's sleep is more important than all of that.

Excellent rooms So So service

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Rooms are in very good condition. Everything was very clean fresh and new. The check in process with this organized and the desk attendant did not provide details of the amenities. Botched check in caused me to have to go back to the front desk after 11 p. M. Undisclosed $10 per day fee was annoying given that I had no idea what it was for. Turns out the YMCA could be used. Good restaurant reasonable prices.

Not a very glamorous resort.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Location to theme parks
Cons: Provide more coffee, creamer and sugar in the room. We had to catch up with the maids to get fresh towels and bedding. The tv remote would not work.
Location: Universal and Seaworld etc
Even though this hotel is located on International Blvd, good location for attractions for sure but you will experience lots of stop and go traffic. The hotel layout is strange, the main lobby is separated from the left and right wings, where your room will be located. You will have to walk outside, under canopies to your hotel room building. Snack machines would not accept paper money in our building, lack of coffee in our room sent us scrambling and one of the door keys would not work.

Not great

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Accommodation needs updating and be better maintained.
We had to change room due to the room not really being fresh. The pictures online were not represented in the physical setting of the room the layout was the same but that's about it. So we decided to take a swim in the pool that was very war, only to discover that there were no pool towels available at the pool. I then had to go to the front desk wait for 5mins before I received pool towels. Complimentary breakfast was sad too. Dry cereal only and milk etc available for purchase. I was glad I had only one night to stay.

It was a good experience, I liked the shuttle to and from universal studios. It was helpful. The pool and hot tub was also nice, it is kid friendly.

Overcharge above the amount paid on Expedia

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Cons: Customer service
I had booked my room via expedia and paid the charge in full ( ten days earlier). When I was there, without me knowing, they charge back the room charge to my visa for 60 US $ and then they reverse the transaction for 44 US $. When I checked out there was no mention of that to me. When I return home I notice the mistake on my visa account. I called 5 time and left 5 message to the manager, to advise them of the mistake ( long distance call), They did not call back. Finally the next day I called again and someone finally responded and said they will do the correction. For me it is a matter of principal, I did not get the credit yet, the net extra cost is 20 $ cnd . To me this is not acceptable, it was a very bad experience.

Pros: Close to universal park
Cons: Shuttle that arrived when park open and then closed
Location: Lot to do and plenty of restaurants
There were not enough luggage carts , they could not find one Friday night and we had to make four trips from the car to the seventh floor . Booked two beds and was given a king. Did find one luggage cart Sunday morning at 5:30 am and only one. Offered shuttle to park at 10:20 and park opened at 8:00 this was useless. Drove there cost me another 20.00 dollars, part of way I booked with this hotel.
