“Very Quaint”
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The room was very clean and stocked well. Breakfast was great. I ate it every morning. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It also has private baths which sealed it for me.
“Great deal with expedia hotel/air package”
The staff at the Pavillon Opera Bourse were extremely nice and accomodating. The room was small but the bathroom was great!! Very clean, safe but not that quiet if staying in front rooms. I would suggest requesting a room in the back if you want to get a good nights sleep. Also make sure the air conditioning is functioning, I had a problem with my room and there was an unexpected heat wave which made it a bit uncomfortable. The staff provided me with a fan that helped, but air conditioning is so much nicer. The hotel is close to the lourve, a 15-20 minute walk and very close to the Opera Garnier. Having the Metro stop nearby was also great. If you are the type who doens't care about room size and being in the lap of luxury but want a nice place to stay this is for you. There is so much to do, I was hardly in the room at all.
“African Inspired Room”
The room is small, fitting a double bed but charming if you are into African art. The usual occupants are noisy American tourists unfortunately.
“Satisfied but not completely.”
Compared to its price, rooms are very small. The choices in the breakfast are very limited . They couldn't arrange a taxi for us to move to our next hotel. We waited approximately an hour and decided to find a taxi outside by our own. When taking our luggages to concierge they didn't give us a receipt. I would be pleased if internet was included in the room price.
“The WORST HOTEL EVER Pavillon Opera Bourse”
The hotel was VERY diry, EXTREMELY HOT thru out our stay. The housekeeping only cleaned our room ONE day in our 4 day stay. We ran out of towels as well as toilet paper and I really believe had we slept on the street of Paris we would have been more comfortable. The shower was filthy, with mold growing on the grout. The carpet was stained in several places. The hotel as well as the room smelled very much like incense or perfume and was very offensive to someone with allergies. The staff told us the a/c was broken but would be fixed however in 4 days it was not fixed. Every time we asked the staff something they seemed to have NO clue. Some of them barely spoke english.
“Not a hotel we'd recommend”
We had three attempts at looking at rooms. Our first night stay had carpeting was wet with an aromatic smell of musty mildew. The missing shower head holder (literally a 1" hole in the wall) left you to stand holding the shower sprayer while trying to shower. Our second night stay, they moved us into another room with even wetter carpet (sopping with a towel placed over the six foot square area). We finally were placed in a room that didn't have wet carpet; however the room was still musty with stained carpeting. The overall appearance of the rooms were superficially maintained (beds made, towels hung), its the underlying maintenance (smell, possible mold, mildew) which was our primary concern. The hotel staff seemed to quickly lose comprehension of English when we made requests for room changes; however, they miraculously gained their English proficiency upon our departure.
