Central

Posted Jul 15, 2014
The hotel is central to most things and is close to the train and many tour stops of the city. The hotel is small but the staff makes up for it all by being friendly and informative. The place is clean.

Great Location

Posted Jul 14, 2014
The hotel is located with in walking distance to Notre Dame, the Louve and many more Paris attractions. Plus it is right next to a subway entrance. The hotel picture on Expedia is deciptive. It is much smaller than it looks but the rooms are nice and service was good.

Intimate boutique hotel near Notre Dame Cathedral

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable bed, courteous staff, and excellent location
Cons: The AC in individual rooms needs work
Location: The Notre Dame Cathedral is a very short walk away, and the Louvre is also quite close. There are many caf├ęs and a lot of places to shop in the area.
My new husband and I stayed at Villa Mazarin 7 nights while on our honeymoon in Paris. Overall, we really liked the cute hotel which had a wonderful central location and was just a few minutes' walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral. The room was a decent size for a Paris hotel room, and it was quite clean. Our one issue was that we couldn't adjust the AC, and the room got quite warm and stuffy a couple of the nights. We were, however, able to open the windows. It was otherwise quite comfortable because during most of our stay, it wasn't very hot in Paris. The staff was also very courteous, friendly, and helpful. Despite the questionable AC, we would definitely consider staying here again.

Great Service, Interesting Location, Recommended

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Good size room. Big, comfy bed. Good water pressure. Good location. Helpful, patient, nice hotel staff. Quiet. Clean.
Cons: Would prefer more illumination in the room (room was a little dark) and more outlets closer to mirrors. overall good experience
Location: BHV (shopping), Hotel de Ville, and metro across street. La Comete serves nice breakfast. Great boulangerie down the street. Close to shopping/clubs
Really appreciated the quality of the front desk staff. All were helpful, efficient, and pleasant. Our room was big (esp. per Parisian standards) and the bed was big / comfy. Good water pressure. Quiet. Robe and slippers provided. Chocolate on your bed upon arrival (nice touch). The hotel is very close to shopping, sites, the metro, restaurants, and a really nice boulangerie (turn right on Rue de Verrerie--great coffee, beautiful breads and sweets). There are brasseries/restaurants nearby where you can get a good breakfast/meal (enjoyed breakfast at La Comete: coffee, juice, pastries/bread, omellette, reasonable price). The hotel had a decent breakfast too; it was less expensive (based on what we bought)--really it depends on your preference. Hotel de ville and BHV (similar to a 5 story mall) are across the street. It is a very busy, thriving area. There was a tiny supermarket nearby too, where you can purchase inexpensive water/drinks/fruit for your room at a very reasonable price. I really liked our room / this hotel experience and would stay here again.

Good hotel for central Paris

Posted Jul 3, 2014
If you're looking for a traditional Parisian hotel that's close to the center of the city and all its facilities, the Villa Mazarin is a good candidate. It's located close to the Hotel de Ville metro station and across the road from the Bazaar du Hotel de Ville (BHV) department store and surrounded by restaurants. The facilities are OK and mostly pleasing. We thought that some of the fittings in the room were a little tired but we couldn't complain about the view from our 5th floor room (including a balcony that you can walk out onto). The room includes a fridge, safe, and kettle and some reasonable coffee (granules). The TV is fine and there's reasonable (free) Wi-FI. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel because there are lots of better (and cheaper) alternatives close at hand.

Excellent location

Posted Jul 3, 2014
We loved this hotel. The rooms are cute, the staff are lovely, but most importantly, the location is fantastic. It's right in the middle of the action, without being "touristy'. Loads of great shops, bars and restaurants nearby, and it's still convenient for all the sights. The one draw back - we had to leave the windows open at night because it was very hot, which meant that we got a lot of noise from the bustle downstairs. Unfortunately the air-con was not great. But we were there on some very hot days, so the rest of the year, I'm sure it would be fine.

Great location, amazing staff

Posted Jun 28, 2014
This hotel is in a very convenient location with lots of cafes and shopping nearby. Our room was very clean and comfortable as well. But what stood out for me was the staff. They were informative and accomodating...not just to us but everyone we saw them interacting with. Amazing service that we would recommend to friends and family.

Comfortable hotel in excellent location

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Clean, very comfortable bed, and good size room
Cons: I had a coffee/tea maker in my room but could never get them to leave me a cup so I could use it
Location: In the Marais and a 2 minute walk to the Hotel DeVille - too many to list
Very comfortable bed and large room by Parisian standards. It's a 2 minute walk to the metro and in a fantastic central Paris location. Located on the edge of the Marais, you have quick and easy access to many great restaurants, bars and tourist attractions.

Cons: Breakfast is rather basic and in served in a basement
Location: In addition to the most famous attractions of Notre Dame and Ste Chapelle, the hotel is in easy reach of the Pompidou Centre, the Picasso Museum
Very convenient location close to Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, Ste Chapelle and the Marais quarter. While the area is very busy, the hotel is well insulated and quiet
