Cheap and near light railPosted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Proximity to light rail
Cons: Would be nice if the pool had water.
Location: It's near ASU.
I needed a hotel near the light rail with free parking in order to avoid driving and parking in Phoenix. This hotel did all of that.

Value motelPosted May 26, 2015
The rooms are fair enough compared to their low price. They are relatively big and provided with TV, microwave oven, refrigerator, hairdryer and ironing tools. The table is suitable for having dinner in 2 or 3 people, and very comfortable to be used as PC desk for working. The shower is not better nor worse than higher-cost motels I tried. One remark concerns cleanliness of the towels: they are clean of course, but not bleached, so sometimes you see old stains on your clean towel. Some people may feel unconfortable with this. The motel is 20min driving from the center of Phoenix and a variety of fast-food restarants can be found nearabout.

Horrible hotelPosted May 15, 2015
It's dirty and we had someone renting a room next to are room. The hotel was empty and they had to put this person in the room right next to our. This person would be cleaning all his stuff right in front of are door. He was painting a bike which we could smell in your room. He would be hosing furniture down on the balcony. Wouldn't recommend this hotel at all to anyone.

Days Inn Tempe, AZPosted Apr 26, 2015
Location: Mexican and a curry place, Thai food, "The Vine" pub all within walking distance
First thing I was told was that the pool was closed, it had not water. Went to room which was supposed to be non smoking, as soon as the door opened the stench of old smoke came pouring out. Went to turn on the t.v. nothing happened, ended up checking the remote and there were no batteries in the controller, not a problem I can do it manually, not the case the t.v. runs off a box that you need a remote for. The A.C. in the room didn't work that great, it took about 3 hours for the room to cool down.

Soap is cheap.Posted Apr 4, 2015
I understand this is an inexpensive hotel but soap is cheap. The grounds around the hotel were disgusting. The parking lots are filthy the sidewalks were dirty there were hundreds of cigarette butts everywhere. Inside the room every piece of furniture was old outdated and covered in spots, it was disgusting. The carpet was so disgusting and covered in spots I never took my shoes off. The air conditioner was so loud I had to wear ear plugs and the cover was falling off and no one has ever cleaned the filter. The room had an old TV, no flat screen but it didn't really matter because the cable was out most of the time. The refrigerator works great. The bathroom did seem to be clean except for the mold all over the light fixture and all the cracked tiles. Even though I paid for 3 nights ahead of time I only stayed one night this place is terrible.

Everything went well here at the days in except we was having problems with the door key. I did ( not) like that at all. I should not of had to go to the office about the key not working everytime I came back to my hotel. That was not right at all. Then it was a very nasty coffee pot in the room. I did not like that.

OKPosted Apr 2, 2015
Location: Location is good.
It was clean, safe, and well tended for the most part, which is really all we needed. Our time there was only for sleeping. I felt like our car was safe overnight. Slightly downmarket, with old tube TVs and worn fixtures that may bother some. Whether I would recommend depends on your needs/expectations. I would not call it "nice", nor would I call it a "dump." If you'd like to save money and need a clean place to sleep you could do worse. Again, it fit our purpose and I'd call it fine.
