Dock details: Yes, the creek is tidal.
At low tide, there is approximately 3-5 feet of water at the end of the dock. First of all it’s important to understand that this property matched my husband’s and my idea of what we like when on vacation. We are bird watchers, nature lovers, and love to walk with our dog. This was the best property for our likes that we have ever rented. It was like having a nature preserve all to ourselves. The house is very isolated but we always felt very safe. The long dirt road was a great place for our daily walk with our dog. We walked 1.5 miles up and back another 1.5 miles We had no trouble driving on it, but during our two week stay did not venture out much. We saw 67 different species of birds at the house and along the walk. The house had everything we needed. Who ever does the cleaning does an excellent job. The beds are very comfortable. For those not familiar with well water I would suggest bringing your own for drinking. The water pressure is a little funky; just don’t let others run water when showering Finally one other thing that might bother some is that there is no trash pick up. You have to take your trash just a few miles down the road to a collection site. It was really no big deal. However whoever stayed there before us left their trash in the cans under the house. I wasn’t going to take other people’s trash, so it may still be there. We plan on returning. It’s so good for relaxing and getting away for it all.

Wonderful week at the island
This rental is remote, but that is what we loved about it. The views were spectacular and we saw an abundance of wildlife every day. It was so tranquil there, we were truly able to fully relax and unwind. The cabin is a bit rustic, and could use some TLC, but we found everything to be clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The only negatives were that the internet was not adequate for my husband to work remotely and the yard was in desperate need of mowing.

Not as listed
Someone needs to investigate these places before they are listed. When we arrived at the location there were 2 dogs on the premises. Trash scattered underneath the house. My husband is allergic to dogs. Upon entry you can smell the stench of dog urine and smoke Carpets filthy revealed that several pet accidents occurred. We walked back out. Was told that we would be placed in a new place, but no one called back. Additionally the location is very secluded. We drove several miles on dirt road a few miles to property. Horrible conditions over-all. Do not waste your time or money. I haven't heard back from the property management. I called them twice and sent email

Rustic low-country seclusion
I enjoyed my visit here. Perfect for my needs. I would repair the hole in the deck next to the grill before someone steps through it and gets seriously injured. Also, the water pressure is highly irregular, so something needs fixing there.

Location was great, quiet and private. Setup was good for our needs . The two baths were some what of a challenge due to the low water preasure . We could only use one water faucet at a time, just be aware of that . Overall it was good for us as a weekend getaway.

Beautiful but extremely remote
There were many great aspects to this property. It’s rustic older cabin feel is nice but could use a little tlc. We did fishing, camp fires, kayaks, crabs… it’s salt water with a tide. No swimming! There are small sharks and a strong current at times. Our main thing was that it was just Soo much driving and when it says suv, it’s more like truck or sport suv. The 10-15 min drive down the dirt causeways are tough! Then you still have at least 30 min to get to a city or destination. Since we’d driven a long way that made it hard. Maybe for others it’d be easy. It was hard on my vehicle though. Definitely a beautiful, peaceful place. The area does controlled forest fires that smoked us out a couple days with ash. Not something the property manager would probably know but was unbearable at times. There was no good way to contact the company. I never got responses from my messages. It was just pre-populated texts for ratings and a “check out” That you left. Very different from other vrbos. I’d go back for a weekend with adults that didn’t mind the driving. Teens just get really tired of being on the car for an hour just to go to town.

Remote and Beautiful
The property and views are spectacular. Very remote and private. This is a property for anyone wanting to get away from everything except natural beauty. The house is rustic. Expect a cabin in the woods feel rather than a modern home. Our only complaint would be the lack a kayak launch. A shore launch is possible at very high tide, but you must get back out before the tide drops much. The bank is extremely steep and muddy at low tide. We hauled kayaks to Salzburg, but the creek by the house is much nicer. A kayak dock makes a wonderful stay perfect.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, remote cabin. The lawn is huge and well maintained and the dock is in excellent shape. The only issues we had were with the exterior lights not working and on our last day I went to put the trash out and discovered both cans full from the previous renters. For the amount paid in owners fees you would expect the lights to work and the trash to be taken off. Overall we had a great trip and would definitely recommend this place to get away and relax.

Family Getaway Vacay
We had issues with WiFI, internet extremely slow. We received one garbage bag for each garbage can including kitchen, one roll of paper towel half used & one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. We had six people and this was a 4 night five day stay. Didn't think we had to spend quality time shopping. Instructions were none as to were to put garbage/recycle and any other instructions as to what should be done when we leave the premises. We did find a large garbage can under the cabin when we found the bikes with broken chains. Grill was disgusting and couldn't use. The deck area needed to be clean from branches, cones & definite signs of a party. We understand we were by water and it can draw in critters, but we feel if exterminate & cobwebs were taking care of it would be less infected. One night it was beautiful to open windows but we couldn't because it would let the big spiders in. So that night we tried the firepit after we found logs. Firepit was nice and created a smores night of fun with the kids. Hope this helps you in future rentals.

Secluded but.....
The location is fantastic. Very private. Wildlife everywhere. We have done a few vrbos before and there is always a little note telling you about the place. There was nothing. Where to put the trash is one that we had to hunt down. Heads up for everyone with dogs, we had several stray dogs come say hello. Thankfully nothing bad happened. My main problem with the place is the lower deck. The position of the ramp going down to the lower dock left about 2 feet before you were in the river. Definitely didn’t want my kids or dogs going down there. One slip on the metal ramp and you were in the river. But overall loved our vacation.

A very private, gem on a tidal creek
The property was exactly as advertised. No surprises. The house is nice, the bathrooms could stand some updating. The house is isolated, 2.5 miles down dirt roads. The island seems to be about 1 mile by 1 mile and there are a total of 4 houses. There is plenty of privacy. The yard is huge and beautiful. It was very well kept. We saw deer everyday. Also saw turkey, an armadillo, fox squirrels and a good number of water fowl. The views of the creek and marsh are wonderful. The tidal flow in the creek was very fast, making kayaking a challenge. No luck catching fish. Cell phone service was spotty (Verizon) The WiFi worked well, so getting on the internet was not an issue. Overall, a very pleasant stay, we hope to visit again.

Peaceful and beautiful
This property is secluded and peaceful. The beds were amazing, the yard/property is open and our 3 dogs loved it! Plenty of wood for our campfire, the dock is big and we had access to a boat ramp. We were able to explore the inlets and enjoy wildlife. The internet and phone service worked. The porch chairs and picnic table needs to be replaced so bring your own lawn chairs. It needs some updates like a new dishwasher but, we felt the accommodations were good. Exon store is close quick shopping and Wal-Mart is only 30min away. We WILL be returning! Recommend 100% if you and your family want peace and quiet for family time!

Beautiful View / Great Location
Overall this was an excellent rental. The house was by far the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. Kitchen is fully stocked and amenities provided ( Hand soap, toiletries, Dish detergent and laundry pods) . Property is three miles from the main road and very secluded which we loved. Road to the house is a dirt road and well maintained. Beautiful views of the river from the house . Dock is in excellent shape. Internet worked well and no issues with our cell phones. Location of property is 30 minutes to Port Royal or outskirt of downtown Beaufort. Ridgeland is 9 miles away and has grocery and chain restaurants. I recommend Fiddlers Family Seafood in Ridgeland and Fishcamp on 11th street in Port Royal. The only negative to this rental is carpet in the bedrooms (vacuum provided). The carpet is clean and relatively new we just had to remember to take our shoes off at the door. We loved this place and will return for a longer visit.

Our little getaway from home.
This cabin was so much more than I could have imagined. We did absolutely nothing!. It was so peaceful and quiet. The scenery was simply breathtaking. The pictures were very appealing. But, to actually see it in person. It was simply amazing. There was plenty of space for a large family. And everyone had their own room. My father whom is going thru chemotherapy. Enjoyed this cabin to the fullest. As soon as he walked in. He was so amazed. He just walked through the cabin and checked everything out. This was the first time he had ever been in one. He was so excited. He got a break from all of his doctors and his therapist. He's already asking me when are we going back. I'm thinking the same thing. Hopefully we can get back there soon.

Isolation Station (in the best way possible)
We needed to get away for a weekend to relax after having worked nonstop through this pandemic. After turning on to the dirt road we were immediately whisked away to the beauty of the low country. We walked in to the house prepared to do a sanitizing wipe down but it wasn't needed. The house was CLEAN and we really felt safe. We didn't have to leave the house although we did ride around and explore the area a bit. The house is on beautiful property with outstanding wildlife - it is pristine and many areas remain untouched. We saw dolphins feeding several times and the horses next door visit at night. We will absolutely go back as our kids said it was their favorite vacation ever. Thank you so much for the escape. Enjoy nature y'all.

Beautiful cabin
We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful property, plenty of fun things for kids who enjoy adventuring outdoors. The only constructive feedback I'd give is that the lack of a landline phone made us a bit nervous. Cell phone reception is mostly non-existent. If we needed to reach medical professionals or call 911, we would have had to drive 20 mins or so to pick up a signal. Wi-fi is weak, which is fine since we were there to unplug anyways, but it also meant that using apps to make phone calls didn't work either. In case of accident.. well, this was worrisome as a parent of young kids. Otherwise, it was perfect!
