Beautiful, off the beaten path, decent restaurantPosted Mar 11, 2015
Great place to stay. Take lots of $5's and $10's to tip the staff directly, they work very hard for your comfort. Free shuttle from the airport. Rent a car, that would be best. Check in is 3pm. Our room wasn't ready when we got there. Had to wait an hour at the bar, feet away from the beach. Have Mike, the concierge, set you up with the sunset dinner cruise. Food and drink included, ask if you can bring your own picnic basket. You can snorkel off the catamaran. Brion James and The West End band made it a great experience.

Parrot Tree BeachPosted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: Location and seclusion.
Cons: The water pressure.
Location: Very quiet.
Staff was fantastic as was the location. If you are looking for a quiet secluded hotel in Honduras, this is the location. The rooms were very nice. The pool was perfect. If you are looking for a nightlife, don't go here. It was quiet the entire time we stayed.

Gorgeous luxurios facilities on beachPosted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: The grounds were immaculate. Trimmed, neat, full of greenery and flowered. The decor in the rooms was also wonderful.
Cons: Providing a map of trail locations. Not much for kids to do other than beach and kayaks.
Location: Iguana farm is not close to the hotel, but if you have transpotation, it is a definite sight to see. 1200 iguanas run free. $10.
We booked online just before boarding our flight for Roatan. Make sure you contact the hotel in advance to request the free shuttle picks you up at the airport at your arrival time. Customs takes about 30 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. No need to change money as the whole island takes USD. The Parrot Tree hotel is located about 20 miles east of the airport on the south side of the island. The resort is gorgeous. Extremely well maintained. One huge pool with waterfalls, some small slides, and bridges. All rooms have immediate access to the sheltered private beach. Hundreds of palm trees, lounge chairs, cabanas, etc. we were told that the hotel was full over the weekend but it was almost empty when we arrived on on Monday. Rooms equipped with full kitchen, dark wood trim, beautifully appointed. Bar and a fairly good restaurant on beach. The hotel is rather isolated so don't expect to be able to walk to any cafés or shops. You will either have to eat in the on premises restaurant or rent a vehicle or rely on the hotel shuttle runs to the local super market. Paddle boards and kayaks were available for use on the beach at no charge. We had free welcome chips and free rum drinks on Monday evening at 5:00. Free water bottles, free movies, loaner books, and free wifi at the hotel reception desk. The hotel does offer some fishing and diving excursions. Free breakfast buffet was not huge but tasted ok. Lots of hiking trails around the hotel.

Nice place with beautiful viewPosted Jan 29, 2015
This place is great if you want a do nothing vacation. The "restaurants" we're aweful! included breakfast was vegetarian- bacon was extra. The dinner place on the beach was a joke, all fried stuff I can get at home. We left most days and ate elsewhere as there we some good restaurants 10-15 min away. The hotel is beautiful, the pool amazing, but there is nothing to do, no activities.

Good hotel! Beware of breakfast!Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and we were able to sleep do snorkeling very easily.
Cons: I would give the guests the option to have a remote control to the air conditioner and also extra bed sheets.
Location: The location was really far away from downtown there where in many activities to do and so you are required to either rent a car (around $50) or take
The hotel itself was an incredible hotel, it was private and you could swim in a private beach area, the rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The one problem that we encounter was food. The presentation of the food wasn't very likable. There where lots of bees everywhere (breakfast).

Perfect, but not for the beach.Posted Dec 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
They should clean the beach hotel a lot better. There was rubish in the water, also I saw many hedgehogs in the water. Somebody could get hurt seriously if get in the water with no shoes, and there is no warning about that.

Excellent BUT...Posted Dec 9, 2014
Very nice in many ways. But no WiFi in rooms, which they blamed on rain, even though the lights on the wireless router in our room led us to believe otherwise. There's only one restaurant, with a limited menu, but the dishes were well cooked. A little distant from everything on island, so best to rent a car.

Nice hotel, no so nice staffPosted Oct 16, 2014
The hotel facilities are really good, the private beach is full of mosquitos. Staff are kind but when it comes to solve a problem it could take a long time.
