A great, comfortable little spot in Rome

This place was amazing. The room had a mini fridge, tv, fan (this is important), big bed, and it's own shower and bathroom. It was far less expensive than places that offer far less. Yes it is in the basement but the rooms are freshly painted, clean, and get plenty of natural light from the windows. The owner and staff are great, though you won't see them much. You get your room, they show you everything, you get your keys, then you are on your own. If you have an issue, you call or email them. The maid comes every morning to clean and provide fresh towels. If you want a room with a view, then get a bank account with a few more zeros. If you want a nice, little place to leave your bags while you are exploring the city and to come back to at night then look no further. It's a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum if you are walking at a brisk pace. Probably double that if you have bags or don't want to speed walk. There are good, inexpensive pizza shops nearby. "Aisha's" is really good. There is also an Emme Pius grocery store about 5 minutes away if you want to stock your minifridge with drinks. The Manzoni metro station is also about 3-4 mins away, so you can get anywhere in Rome in a flash! Why stay anywhere else?

Cons: No wi-fi
There is no wi-fi, not even one that could be purchased. This was highly inconvenient. The room was very, very small, in the basement. It is hard to check in unless you have a cellphone to call the owner. We had to wait 30 minutes outside the building before someone arrived to open the door. There is no air-conditioning; only a small table-fan.

As I write before, it is not a Hotel is just a department room, so we share this department with other two guest. No housekeeping, no breakfast, no restaurant near by, just stores.
