Great location and spacious, comfortable rooms

Posted Jan 17, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, comfort, elevator
Cons: Nothing that comes to mind. Was happy with everything.
Location: Bus - easy to get to the Vatican - Trevi fountain and Spanish steps in walking distance. As is capunchin crypt.
In a nice old building in Rome in a quiet street off a main road. The main road has great bus line for getting around and a tabacco shop where you can buy you bus tickets. There is an awesome little elevator which I thought had heaps of character - it's like an open air cage. They are only on the second floor so you can always walk up. The building itself has intercom system and the reception is 24 hours. Staff are nice and helpful. They had a reasonable breakfast and it was included in our room fee. We definitely took advantage of this and filled up. It's a small breaky room but no one was ever in there with us. It's nice and central to lots of stuff. You can walk to capunchin crypt, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps etc. bed was comfy and our room was spacious. The rooms are maybe a bit dated but perfect condition and clean and comfortable. Very nice little restaurant downstairs that will do take away if you just want to veg in your room.

Move along!

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: We liked that the hotel was very near some of the major tourist attractions in Rome.
Cons: Please replace the wi-fi and do not allow your staff to smoke in the lobby. Also, don't even bother with breakfast.
Location: The Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps were the closest major tourist attractions very close to the hotel itself.
Just spent four days in Rome less than a week ago and had the unfortunate displeasure of having booked our stay at the Hotel Invictus. The wi-fi at the hotel was perhaps one of the worst I have ever used. Could not get reception in the room and to get a signal you had to go sit out in the lobby. In addition, staff members, primarily on the night shift, would smoke and the odor would make its way into our room. Pretty much disgusting. We asked for two single beds and might as well have slept on cots. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. During our stay there were two days, to include a Sunday, where trash services arrived at 2:00 a.m. and it was impossible not to hear them. Now on to the breakfast that was included....if you want to call it that. We tried it one day. It basically consisted of cereal (Cocoa Puffs...yes, Cocoa Puffs), crackers and nutella and perhaps the worst coffee machine in the history of the planet. It was also served in a room about the size of a closet. Upon checking out, we felt accosted by the front desk worker when he tried to collect our city tax in cash only. We refused and low and behold he finally accepted our credit card. He basically showed us this document that had been on top of the front desk behind many others which had very small writing related to the payment of the "city tax". He was extremely rude and was not happy when we asked for a receipt. If there are no other hotels available in Rome other than the Hotel Invictus, go to Florence!

Schönes klassisches Hotel nahe des Hauptbahnhofes

Posted Dec 16, 2014

Buone vacanze romane a tutti

Unica pecca ,televisore in camera conpochicanali visibili e piccolissimo.stanza colazione!!!!!!

A presto Saluti Lo staff dell'Invictus

Hotel grazioso

Gentili e cordiali.
