I will comment as I stay here often small things do not get repaired like a switch that needs to be put on the lamp so you can turn it on. i have told the staff numerous times about the lamp not having a knob and they will not replace it.

"Deferred maintenance" older motel

Pros: Close to Laguna Seca Raceway
Cons: Make sure room is stocked properly and all devices work.
Small room. Furniture marked, chipped. Non-working hair dryer. Missing shampoo and extra towels. Location: virtually on top of freeway, you hear every car, motorcycle, and truck rumble by night and day. Increased rates for close-by popular local event. Poor value for rate charged.

Sink was dirty. The motel 6 I stayed at was much better appointed and cleaner. At $175 per night for Days Inn I expect much better quality.

Manager refused to fix or care about room a/c .

I have stayed at this hotel the pas 3 yrs. Not again. As it now "changed" to wyndam- the only difference is 5 more pillows on the bed, a wyndam shower curtain and higher price. The a/c only blew warm air on the coldest setting. The manager said it was ok as it blew air- not cold!! didn't care- no change of rooms- no repair- 2 night stay.

Pretty good for a night or two

Pros: Cute outside, plenty of parking, room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The wifi was slow, tv not great quality and breakfast was mostly cereal and weak coffee...
Location: Not much to walk to, close to the airport and highway.
Not bad, room was clean and the shower had hot water and pressure. The wifi was pretty slow and had little signal and the tv was not great- difficult to change the channel and the color was off... A little loud from the highway but the AC was cool and the pillows were comfy.

It was awful! Opened door to room and it had clothes still there and not cleaned! 2nd room shown the bathroom had not been cleaned!3rd room unable to get in! 4th room got in but unable to reopen door with key! 5th room okay but tv did not work and bathroom lite switch did not work and it smelled! !

Cons: Goede afspraken maken met de eigenaar over hoe om te gaan met uitzonderlijke gevallen. Eisen stellen aan het "gratis" ontbijt.
Location: Het hotel ligt vlakbij de snelweg waar we overigens geen last van hadden.
We kwamen daar heel laat aan. Vervolgens bleek dat we geboekt hadden voor de volgende dag. De hotelmanager wilde ons wel een kamer aanbieden als we ruim twee en een half keer meer dan de normale prijs extra betaalden, want zo zeiden ze: 'we hadden niet voor die dag gereserveerd en het was niet mogelijk om de boeking een dag te vervroegen en andere hotels in de buurt vroegen ook hetzelfde bedrag'. Uitwijken naar de buren had volgens hen dus ook geen zin. Na heel veel heen en weer gepraat besloten we om te betalen aangezien we geen zin hadden om midden in de nacht met 2 tieners op zoek te gaan naar een ander hotel. De kamer was klein en het ontbijt heel slecht en weinig keus.

Reserved room well in advance of Gilroy garlic festival 2014. When checking in was informed that hotel would not honor the price that was posted on Hotels.com and that I had a confirmation for. Manager told me she would need an additional $20.00 more per day. I produced my confirmation but was told to pay or cancel my reservation. I have never ever been extorted in this fashion by a motel. Mgr. informs me they have others waiting for the room and willing to pay. It has been a 6 hour drive and I begrudgingly paid. I understand that rooms are in high demand for the festival but this is bad business and inexcusable. I will go out of my way to inform friends and family of this treatment from the Salinas Days Inn. Cudos to Hotels.com for reimbursing me the extortion money.

Motel is a rip off and is dirty.

Cons: Everything from management to room cleanliness.
We pre-paid for a one night stay at the motel through Expedia. When we went to check-in the woman at the front desk (whose version of English I could not understand) would not honor the price we paid through Expedia. After 15 minutes of "conversation" with the woman, my husband was able to discern that she was refusing to accept the payment we made through Expedia and was telling him the room would cost a total of $150.00. At that point I was losing my patience so I asked my husband to please deal with the situation and I stepped outside. When I returned 10 minutes later my husband had successfully negotiated with the woman and we only had to pay $20 more for our pre-paid room instead of the $80 additional she initially demanded. Luckily we only needed the room to catch a few hours of sleep after a retirement party for our friend who works at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. The room was run down and dirty. The pillow covers had dirt on them, the shower curtain was torn and there were dirty fingerprints everywhere.

Wish I'd stayed here the whole time. Good place to stay. Good customer service. The only down side is the slow wifi connection.
