Too small

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: better lighting and a bathroom sink
The room was was too small and could hardly move inside of it. No lighting and no bathroom sink.....it was disgusting. no parking either, it was a nightmare with free for all street parking.

nice hotel close to everything!

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Cons: the parking was a little inconvenient but there was a place right across to pay for parking which wasnt too expensive but a parking lot would be nice
Location: hotel is minutes from san diego zoo, coves, oceans, boardwalks, bars and restraunts, old town, seaworld and other great places. its a great location
We got in and the staff was very helpful and welcoming! hotel is minutes from san diego zoo, coves, oceans, boardwalks, bars and restraunts, old town, seaworld and other great places. it was a great location. Once we got to our room it was clean and the air worked fine. we got the queen room and the rooms looked upgraded with nice bedding, flat screen tv and nice light fixtures that had the plugs on them for phone chargers or pc chargers etc. the only time we heard the planes overhead was when the window was open so that didnt bother us at all. they had a nice continental breakfast consisting of big muffins, flavored oatmeal, variety of danishes and different bagels and a toaster with cream cheese or butter and jam, fruit, juices coffee. it was very nice to have that in the morning. they had an elevator which was nice since there is 5 levels and we brought a lot of stuff and a cooler. we had to leave a day early on saturday due to a knee injury and they genuinely seemed concerned and explained if i called expedia they should be able to refund that last day for us. low and behold its monday and the money was already refunded without me even calling expedia yet. im so grateful for that. thank you so much and we will be returning!

Hotel in the middle of Downtown SD

Posted Jun 10, 2014
You get what you pay for here, it's not bad but could be better. Rooms are pretty small and beds aren't big enough. The pictures definitely don't match how the actual hotel room looks.

The more inexpensive hotels have better service

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: It included breakfast (a bit too many carbs, but nonetheless something to start the morning), laundry facilities are functional and it even has a gym.
Cons: It is value for money, but perhaps the air conditioning units in the rooms may be better placed.
Location: The hotel is within walking distance of Balboa Park, a 15-minute walk from downtown and a 20-minute walk from the gaslamp district.
I recently attented a convention in San Diego, and one of the hotels recommended by the organizers was close to $200 a night, but breakfast was not included, it was far from the convention center and the closet was inside the bathroom. I decided to change hotels: The America's Best Value may be humble, but it is sensible in its organization, setup and overall services provided.

Downtown inn

Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: The staffs were friendly. The room was clean. Internet conditions were good.
Cons: It is noise, which is from the street (cars), air (airplanes above), and the machines (air conditioners) in the buildings.
Location: The location is close to the downtown.
It is a choice for sleep in the downtown San Diego. The price is very reasonable.

Reasonably close to Congress Center

Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: All the above
Cons: The room available for the self-service breakfast could be larger with more tables, to facilitate the whole process.
Comfortable, well-equipped rooms, helpful staff, easy walk to Congress Center and reasonably priced. Ideal for people who enjoy a bit of exercise and are not looking for luxury.
