Poor Hotel Policies - Poor Customer Handling

On my last day at this hotel, I was out of the room when housekeeping decided to clean my room even though I had not checked out. I had several Monster Energy drinks and water in the mini fridge. When I return to the room these items were missing. I called down to the front desk for them to have my stuff returned to me because I had a long drive home that afternoon and it was for my trip. The deskman proceeded to tell me why this had happen. He stated house cleaning thought I had checked out. He then offered to remove one day off the parking fee. I told him I just want my missing items returned. I had to remind him that I had not checked out of my room. This is taking my property. I had paid for a room in this hotel to keep my stuff safe. I also questioned, if the house keeping took my property shouldn't it be in a lost and found area. He told me he would check with housekeeping. I went down to the front desk and asked for my items back. They were unable to return them. I told them I had to go back to a meeting please supply me with my stuff. I return later and the deskman had sent someone to the store to buy me the items that had been taken. As I was picking up the replacement items the deskman said to me, " Are you happy now, I sent someone to buy your missing stuff." His tone and his comment was frustrating. I said to him, "So your hotel staff stole items from my room while I was still check-in, and you are doing me a favor by returning my missing stuff."

Clean room nice staff would stay again. Only bad thing is they ran out of king rooms and had to get 2 queens

Very big hotel rooms and bathrooms. Friendly, helpful staff. The only down side is they charge for parking.

What a wonderful location and place to stay. It was close to beaches, mountain areas, and zoos and parks. It was great.

The free shuttle made the trip all the best. I'm horrible at driving and better at getting lost so the shuttle made everything better!

Room wasn't cleaned. Dirty glass with alcohol and limes on the nightstand and Starbucks cup in the bathroom. After carrying luggage up hotel staff said they were sorry and could give us a comparable room. No offer to make up for the inconvenience or the fact that you expect a room to be cleaned up after the last guest.

There pet friendly rating is costly 75.00 dollars a stay . So a 1 night stay cost 75.00 for a pet. There is not a fee for pet anywhere on there numerous literature.

Pros: Clean, comfortable room and comfortable bed
Location: Del Mar Racetrack, Del Mar Village, etc
Just stayed for one night on a trip up the coast, I wouldn't have minded having more time there.
