Under Construction! Shouldn't be open until....

Posted Jun 29, 2015
We drove into the parking lot only to see two or three giant piles of tarped construction piles. The hard part was finding a place to park. There is crap everywhere. The staff was really friendly and was probably the only reason that we stayed there. The rooms, although were newly renovated were really dirty and the bedding was stained throughout. The non-smoking room that we originally got had a putrid cigarette smell so we moved to another room. It would be a nice economy hotel, once they finished the construction. They really need to just close down and finish construction before they rent out anymore rooms. What a mess!!!

Convenien,t but didn't feel safe and terrible wifi

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: clean bed, clean floors
Cons: Better wifi or provide ethernet.
The room itself was clean enough and comfortable but the wifi was horrible because it can't penetrate the concrete walls. If you are a business traveler this is the worst situation.

Beautiful remodeled room however. . .

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Updated rooms
Cons: the breakfast
Location: Close to many attractions and resturants
The room was gorgeous inside! However, they were under renovations and it was quite noisy during the day and it took up quite a bit of parking. I was impressed with the price for the room though. Would stay there again.

Worst experience with Expedia ever.

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Arrived 30 minutes prior to check in. Told to return later. When we returned there were no rooms available. After waiting a short time we were told they could give us a room that had the water turned off, but it would be turned back on in an hour. 2 hours later still no water. Water eventually turned back on. Do not stay there.

Looked pretty much motel like.

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Cons: Please check on bugs everywhere before giving the keys to the customer.
For us, it was simply a night-stay for visiting the San Diego Zoo after SeaWorld and it was a good online deal. We reached there around 10 pm after finishing the Light Show at SeaWorld. We had booked a double queen-size bedroom. It had a microwave, a table with 2 chairs, and an open area for sink, hair dryer and a rod on the other side for hanging clothes and an iron board. The bathroom had a toilet and tub and NO sink. The bath tub looked a bit dirty as if it had collected dust in it but then we realized it was just old. There was a big black spider that I had to tell my husband to throw out of the shower early morning in the middle of my shower! It has a small room for registering and that is where you will be coming back to get your morning breakfast. The rooms, just like the registration room, are aligned to the paved path overlooking the parking lot. You carry the breakfast to your room as there is no dining space. The buffet menu had a few varieties of donuts, croissants and bagels with syrups. They had regular bread to toast, coffee, milk and cereal, oatmeal sachets for microwave which were pretty stuffing, fruits like apple and banana and a few fresh juices. For the price we paid, it did fill us. It was overall an okay experience for a night stay w/buffet for the $79+tax we paid.

Nice hotel close to sea world

Posted May 28, 2015
We had a great experience at this hotel. Super friendly staff and a brand new renovated room. The only reason I rated it a bit lower was the fact that some of the rooms were still being renovated so there was a lot going on in the parking lot. Other than that it was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Worst motel I have ever booked in California

Posted May 19, 2015
I was looking for a nice reputable hotel close to Seaworld, the beach with local attractions. Instead I over paid $150 a night for a motel room that was noisy (during the day and night) in the most run-down part of town (I was always worried for my family with homeless and drug dealers in front of this place) and under construction or renovation. Staff was very nice but I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The motel is under construction.

Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: Everything worked. Plenty of towels. Bathroom and vanity were clean. Check-in clerk was very informative. Close to many fast-food restaurants.
Cons: Finish the construction. Tell potential customers that the motel is currently under construction before they book.
Location: San Diego, near Sea World. An "Adult" area. Not dangerous, but a bit seedy. Walking distance to the Sports Arena and Phil's BBQ restaurant.
The motel is under construction. My room was poor. Walkways were muddy and there was a lot of standing water and construction dust. At 6:30AM sea gulls were very loud, either fighting or mating. I needed to get up, so no harm done. But "sleeping in" does not seem possible. I stayed two nights with same sea gull issue so I think it is a common occurrence. The price was discounted, which I liked. Better for cheap, single adults like me rather than a family.
